Coventry City v Swansea City : Match day thread 10:23 - Sep 16 with 24658 viewsModeratorC

It’s going to be a tough one, always is at Coventry. The bonus is the Sky Blues Dave Spurs at home on Wednesday evening, could help. Having said that if Swansea had their heads on right in the last round they would have been in the same boat. 🚣

The traditional Saturday 3pm kick off hasn’t affected the Swans that much so far this season as we look towards tomorrow’s away game against Coventry City. I see he played a full season at Bordeaux last season.

So it is a bit of a mystery why he looks so unfit, he's only 22

Possibly the fitness levels are much higher in the Championship, TBH it's a mystery.

Bianchini also from ligue 2 also not getting game time, we’re bringing Abdulai on out of position ahead of him. Maybe it is a step up in intensity?

Great result, just watched highlights two decent goals, Cullen took his chance well and Cooper took is, got a tad lucky perhaps, but if you don't try you don't get the rewards, pretty much the same with Coventry's goal with another bit of good fortune for them.

Pity we couldn't have won by more, another 3pts in the bag to boost confidence so its all good and heading in the right direction, happy days!

It might be just me but I’ve not been as nervous when we ve been ahead expecting the opposition to score as I have been .
It might be we are tougher now
This season is all about how we can score goals.
Defence doesn’t look too bad and Larry is clearly a very good keeper indeed. His distribution is better than Rushwort’s and his shot stopping is as good . He’s bigger and more commanding too.
Hell,I like the guy

I think he’s done an underrated job this season. Eom and particularly Franco have been a huge help to him, but it’s pretty clear he’s playing with one hand tied behind his back in other areas.

We may see us slowly start to dominate for longer periods when Vipotnik and Bianchini are playing regularly, I’ve got a feeling Eom hasn’t reached full potential yet either.

Fair play to you if he does overachieve and you do hold your hands up.

I try to comment contemporaneously . I don’t always succeed but there ya go.
If we are shyte,I say say so. If good the converse .
When we play walking football or pass sideways and backwards I see my backside . So do others . These are in their thousands and have walked away, for now. That was damage caused that was unnecessary .
I am ,no matter what some might think, very much attached to my home town club and I will admit to overreacting ,and dreaming of unattainable glory . However, without the glory, football and indeed sport is meaningless . As individuals ,what we see is right or wrong is irrelevant to the clubs fortunes .

And yes, I have still not got over our relegation from the Premier League . I have friends here of a red and blue persuasion and our return would be welcomed ,trust me on that. We have a good name .
Cardiff do not btw

MPH, Bianchini and Vipotnik all did their shooting warmup in front of us on Saturday.

Three observations on Zan:

1) his general body language is sort of languid, he doesn't move naturally well, and frankly looked gassed just jogging about (I am sure he wasn't, he just looked like he was)
2) he fluffed a lot of his shots
3) he got visibly annoyed with himself for 2) so at least he looks like he cares and knows he can do better

Both Vipotnik and Bianchini are now in the big time for them with the PL scouts all over the Championship with massive wallets. Of course they care. This is different level for them.

I give credit to Cullen. His finish was extremely crisp and reaction time razor sharp.

I think we’re going to need him next week. Games Sunday - Wednesday - Saturday. Cullen has to do a lot of pressing and has come off the last two games.

Can’t see him making all three, correct, plus let’s remember he’s had a limited pain free injection, Vip doesn’t look anywhere near the player advertised, despite his proper strikers goal against Preston. I’m not sure he buys in to the philosophy of the squad atm.
