Jones completes his loan move 12:58 - Sep 10 with 573 views | KeithHaynes | OS Swansea City defender Harry Jones has returned to Weymouth on loan for the 2024-25 season. The full-back or centre-back spent time with the National League South outfit last term, and he will now play out the remainder of the new campaign at the Bob Lucas Stadium. Jones’ loan move was agreed and completed prior to the end of the recent transfer window, but he initially remained in Swansea to complete his rehabilitation from injury. The right-sided player signed for the Swans following his departure from Arsenal in the summer of 2020. After a brief stint with Peterborough United, Cambridgeshire-born Jones joined the Gunners at the age of seven; spending nine years in their academy. Following an impressive start to the 2020-21 season - in which he regularly appeared for the under-23s - he signed his first professional contract with the Swans in December 2020. Jones went on to spend the second half of the 2021-22 campaign on loan at Barry Town United. Everyone at Swansea City wishes Harry all the best during his loan spell.

He needs a good year to earn a new deal. 45 games under his belt and contract offers from Weymouth and other will help. The loan players need to make their mark.

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Sometimes when we loan a player out both he and the club are fully aware of the situation, this is one such case. We have/are looking after him medically since his injury and giving him the opportunity to forge a career and future elsewhere while honouring his contract.
