These riots, many non "far rght racists"may have taken part because enough is enough. The truth there is though (in my opinion) these riots wouldn't have happened if the racists hadn't started it all. A bit of the old mob mentality and even normally sane, sensible people can go a bit loopy. Even the Romans understood that.
The big problem is that people have genuine grievances and the government isn't listening. Like I already said, the next time killings like in Southport happen, and it will happen again, there will probably be more "protests" and until or unless the Uk government does something real about the out of control immigration problems the tensions in the affected communities will only heighten as time passes and more crimes are commited.

The point Iām makingā¦maybe not very wellā¦.is no matter what your opinion, no matter what your views and to a certain extent the type of language used, be it abhorrent to some you are allowed free speech. It is then up to the individual to make an opinion.
Our mainstream feed continues to limit any opinion, reduces the information available, and God help you if you use a word, or sentence that yesterday was ok to use but not today, however it may be acceptable tomorrow.

I know what you mean. The point I was trying to make is in a democracy youāre entitled to an honest personal opinion. If itās not your personal view then you either ignore it or reply. Accountability yes. But why did these lies spreadā¦and spread so quickly? In part the lack of information left a vacuum that was filled with these rumours. When the police request people not to speculate do you honestly think they wouldnāt?
That disgraceful episode followed hot on the tail of the Manchester airport incident. Selective information found its way into the worldās media. When the full details of that particular incident was finally made public it left a bad taste in the mouth all round.
These two incidents lit the fires of where we are today. And in times like this one of the first casualty is truth.

Unfortunately, it is true that many people from ethnic minorities in Swansea are worried at the moment. I helped a Chinese friend of my wife with a visa application for an overseas visit just yesterday, and she was telling me that she takes care about where she goes now. This particular lady works and is also supported by remittances from a husband who works abroad, and should not be a target. However, I agree with the view that a "counter-demonstration" in Swansea is very unhelpful right now, because it will add to the perception that we have more of a problem than presently exists here. The last "anti-fascist" protesters I remember seeing in Castle Square were considerably more intimidating than a small group of (idiotic) middle-aged men clad in black that they were trying to get their hands on.
Re OH's question above, I'm not sure. I know quite a few Asians (mainly wives of Brits) who do work in the care homes sector, and there are certainly a lot of overseas health professionals around, but at the same time I feel we should be able to cope while ratcheting back on overall immigration numbers. The question I ask myself, taking account of the very large population increase we've had in recent years, is: Did the many immigrants who arrived decide they no longer want to work in the shortage occupations? It seems almost like an endless conveyor belt where large numbers of people arrive to fill vacancies, but there is always a need for more.

My point is ,these cretins bemoan immigration when their offspring havenāt the humanity to take on difficult dirty jobs . Too many here want an easy life with all the benefits but with no responsibilities
