The whole thing was a farce and old bill took notice of some idiot in Finland posting a list of addresses.

You don't just randomly stab a young girl out with her mother in central London without having serious mental health issues, and that's a department of modern day life in Britain that's been seriously neglected & under-funded for far too many years now.
I don't disagree. But resilience is at an all time low.
Thankfully it seems that the actions of the security guard have saved this girl's life and she will not be added to the mortality statistics.
In 2023 there were around 50 children (under 16) killed in the UK, usually by a parent or close relative. This number has been roughly the same for the last few years. Most of those go unreported.
These incidents in the UK are very rare. Unfortunately because people are inherently nosy about the lives of others and the red tops want to sell advertising space they often get blown out of proportion. This is also fuelled by a need to stop the "news" going stake and so if there is a lull in development, we see stories being literally made up. Finally the old saying that a lie can be all around the world before the truth has got it's shoes on is also true and accelerated by the internet.
You then have various agitator groups who will use any opportunity to create a rage against the "establishment". Doesn't really matter whether that is in pursuit of a political aim or in the hope of exposing some real/fantasy conspiracy, the point is to be "against" something.
Now more than ever it's crucial to react to the facts as you can verify or reasonably be comfortable with rather than some tin foil hat type or political thug.
