Swansea City v Rotherham United : Match day thread UPDATED 13:28 - Apr 11 with 7527 views | ModeratorC | Some records yet to be broken by The Millers ? Relegated but unbowed. Let’s put the pressure on and get some more points in the bag ! Certain players already know their contract offers at Swansea 13th Apr 2024 08:00Luke Williams is perfectly set to bring another three points from the end of season games as the Swans face their penultimate home game of the season against Rotherham United. (3pm) Nathan Wood is out, apparently an injury keeps him out of contention. From that we very much expect a similar team to the one we saw for the 3-0 home win against Stoke City on Wednesday evening. 0 TEAM NEWS : Swansea City v Rotherham United 13th Apr 2024 13:03The Swans go looking for back to back home wins in four days. Rotherham United are looking for their first away win of the season, in fact in eighteen months. 0

Swansea City v Rotherham United : Match day thread UPDATED on 20:28 - Apr 13 by vetchonian | Potter played him mostly at left back |
He filled in but it’s a stretch to say mostly. He won player of the year and pretty much every other award that year for his midfield performances
| This is Patches O'Houlihan saying "Take care of your balls, and they'll take care of you." |

Swansea City v Rotherham United : Match day thread UPDATED on 06:48 - Apr 14 with 1109 views | jack247 | Grimes often gets compared to the player he could be and that’s fair enough. He hasn’t got close to the Potter season on a consistent basis. At the same time, Grimes at the level he plays at, is still comfortably better than any central midfielder we’ve had since Downes. Allen would be (and Grimes looks better when Allen is the heartbeat of the team and he’s got more license) but can’t stay fit or last a full game when he is. Potentially Walsh, but we’ll never find out and he probably would be at a bigger club if he played all game every game.

Be interesting to see what happens with Walsh, Williams would probably want to keep him bar for his continual fitness/injury history. We just can't afford to carry players, who'll only be able to play a part in maybe a dozen games a season.

Walsh has been very well looked after, we haven’t paid him up, he’s been well treated by medical staff and given time off, plus other medical investigations. If you are broken, you are broken, that’s the same for Messi as it is for Walsh.

It’s a shame Steve but we are not a charity . He might well come good and stay fit after he leaves us .

What are the odds though? I doubt the modest better would put a pound on him.

Swansea City v Rotherham United : Match day thread UPDATED on 23:45 - Apr 14 with 616 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Both Walsh and Allen can be expected based on precedent to make between 10-15 games next season. You would need these guys and another player of the same ilk to replace Grimes who is super reliable. One way is to integrate them into the coaching roles (doing their badges) using them as the club has done with Naughton this season. One third appearances one third wages. With a new scouting team and players coming up from the academy like Cotterill it might be simpler to let them both go.
