I see that Palace are supposedly in interested in in Phillips from Man City. Given City’s reported interest in Eze if a swap plus money deal was negotiated between the the two clubs does anyone know how how our sell on would be calculated? Obviously the deal would be worth more than any balance of money involved but who calculates the overall value of the deal?

Its 20 percent of the transfer fee.

Also, its likely to be a loan, not a permament transfer.

Yes but my point is what is the transfer fee? If player A is swapped for player B plus £20M what do we get 20% of? £20M? Which wouldn’t help us much or do the FA/EFL/PL work out a figure for the overall transfer for sell on purposes?

I wouldn’t worry about it, any outside interest City may have had in Eze is long over.

It's 20% of the total transfer fee. That is 20% plus 20% of the value of the other player being used as part fee.

Even if he went for £100m, I’d be wary of transfers we’d be chasing with a week and a half to go till the deadline day.

We’d probably end up with Austin again.
