Stadium Food and Drink a Shambles 21:07 - Jan 1 with 3627 views | donnybackspin | I will never purchase food a drink at the stadium again after todays experience. We queued for 10mins at half time to use the new screens to place our order. Then queued for another 20mins to collect the order. When we got to the front they said "sorry but we have run out of the food and drinks you ordered". I was absolutely livid then had to wait for the Manager to give us a refund. Missed the first 15mins of the 2nd half. Anyone know who I can write to put a complaint in.

Stadium Food and Drink a Shambles on 21:47 - Jan 1 with 3496 views | builthjack | Donny, this new system is an absolute shambles. Nothing is ever ready to serve at half time. Today in the South concourse there were long queues, only a few pies were ready on the rack. Are they effing thick or what? Surely anyone with a quarter of a brain would know that you need to fully stock before half time. They were pouring beer once people had handed their slip in. They should have a few hundred pints ready. The new machines again ran out of paper. Who is responsible for this complete mess?
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Less match day revenue less money available for transfers. Ideas to raise more money Bring back cash payment Bring back programmes Sell away tickets on the day The Americans never have been good at either customer service or commercial activities.

As for the programmes, I used to buy one every game I attended, when I questioned why they were no longer on sale, I was told " it's a sign of the times" apparently going paperless is helping save the planet.

They were stopped during covoid when no spectators were allowed to attend. The online version was introduced to keep spectators in touch. Currently 13 clubs no longer produce printed match day programmes mostly in the lower division with 3 clubs in the championship. Until 2018 it was compulsory in the EFL to produce printed match day programmes. The EFL voted in 2018 to scrap this rule. It is a commercial decision and nothing to do with saving the planet. The clubs don't think they can make any profit from selling them. In Swansea case " in our first year 1 in 4 spectators bought a programme which feel to 1 in 7" We did not think it was a commercial viable product for us says Ben Donavon head of Media .

I havent seen this new system introduced at any away grounds just cashless. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

What is deluded about selling away tickets on the day . Even 100 a match would bring in £3000 a match £60000 a year . The club should be looking to increase commercial opportunities not kill them. Going cashless means the banks get about 1% of our match day income. Bring back cash as an opinion.

I don’t think the money available for transfers is the problem per se Felix. It’s there but either they don’t want to part with it or they make bad choices overall when they do. Food sales is not going to affect that one iota.

The sponsorship lounges etc are indeed good. The pie and pastie outlets used to be the staple of many clubs, Kidderminster springs to mind. These days they seem to be an inconvenience hence the product they serve up and the way it’s attended to.

You'd think the Yankers would be good at the old commercialisation game. Hospitality is the name of American Football drinks, food and programmes etc! Trust this bunch to be behind the curve ball, there's a pattern emerging!

The pie at Coventry the other night was a full £1 cheaper than at Swansea, 50% bigger, and wasn’t burnt around the edges. Whoever overseas the food outlets at Swansea needs a rocket up their backside. Agree about the sponsorship lounges, Vic will get on your nerves if you are in his, but otherwise very good.

The pie and a pint are what all football grounds are judged on by the majority of football fans. Get that right and you will have regular business for years.
