Not fit to wear our clubs shirt and not fit to run our club ? 17:02 - Dec 26 with 9765 viewsKeithHaynes

We are going to take an overnighter to dwell upon todays game and seek some information from behind the scenes as to what is happening. There won’t be any match feedback until tomorrow. Suffice to say today was an absolute embarrassment. The players, despite one or two efforts, the chairman, his wacky sidekick, the club, the mess that’s seen a constant down turn in the ridiculous way these ‘businessmen’ think they know best. People said Martin was a fraud …

Swans fans keep happily clapping and singing ‘Johnny Hollins Barmy Army’ history is repeating it self.

They are businesspeople, they will know lots of other businesspeople with money.

I'm hoping that Nigel Morris will get someone else to help him buy them out.

But this probably won't if we sit on our hands and bicker with each other, we need to show them how we feel.

Tyler Morse is the name doing the rounds on the other messageboard and by all accounts has attended various games this season.

Could he be our next chairman?

Meanwhile, Martin’s reject upped his transfer value to £10m by scoring 2 against the Scum.

You cannot blame Levien for waving goodbye to Gokeres, Whittaker and more recently no doubt Fletcher (will be a star) for no reward.

Swansea cannot carry on like this. Managers are thinking in the short term.

Sell to who FB?

We don’t know, but the further we fall under these people, the worse their successors are likely to be.

At the moment, we’re not even a shadow of the club they bought, but we’re still in the championship with a squad a half competent manager could keep up easily.

Who knows where we’ll be in a couple of years. I wouldn’t bet against league one where we’d be a much tougher sell.

I didn't see the game, i was with family, but seen some of the goals, dreadful defending,

we are at a critical point, as a club with these owners, if it goes pear shaped , its the mid 80s all over again.

I’ll summarise it for you.

We had two good chances early on.
Southampton deserved to be 1 up at half time but we were in the game.
2-0 from a horrific mistake. We gave up.

who appointed Watson?

I do not want to blame people.

I want people like Watson to do what he did before and find energetic hungry and disciplined players from the lower leagues in place of weak teenage loanees for Champions league teams who are not ready.

All loan s should be 'loans to buy' as a rule. It is the 'management culture' I want to see. Ashby is n better than Parker. Humphries is no better than Wood, Patinio is not even picked and Fulton can be replaced by Azeem. Lowe can be signed in January.

You mean you don't want to blame the American owners because you are quick to point the finger at others, the manager, the trust, the fans.

We can only loan players at the other clubs allowance, we cannot insist on loan to buy, if we try that then we won't get many loans and even if we do, the other club will have to set a price we agree to.

Nobody else has to do as we say, they'll just laugh at us.

The truth from personal perspective is that I have long grown tired and bored of football. Our club is just one of many who spend more than they can really afford. When we went "Petty" it was the great reset for our club. Maybe it needs to happen again.

Maybe the whole of football needs a reset?

Regardless, I'm not renewing my season, I have better things to do with my money.

The guy who brought in Fisher who is unplayable and Darling who can't hold down his place
Martins legacy is soiled pants and heartbreak for some
Meanwhile , we bleed
Joe Allen replacing a striker
Think on that

For me the result was inevitable. We’ve played against a really good team with excellent players and an excellent manager who haven’t lost for 16 games, winning 11 of those, something that club haven’t succeeded in doing so for absolute donkey’s years and we’re making ourselves look a bit silly if we keep running Martin down especially when we can see the job he’s doing with them.
As for us, we sell good players for good money and lose good managers and replace them with mediocre players and a mediocre manager and to continue this means the inevitable will eventually happen. There seems to be no tactics, no understanding, no plan on the pitch or off it and I do wonder if the owners and there senior off field appointed managers really understand the gravity of the situation we’re in and if they do how to get out of it. Very worrying and very sad

The protests or whatever actions Keith hints at led to them walking away selling the club for £1 waht came next oh yes a certain Tony Petty is this waht we wish for again?

There are few if any folks out there who are minted and have a passion for football clubs the costs associated with them are crazy.
For.me the best solution is the owners and Coleman included recognising they need a Trevor Birch...though there are few of him around and them let them run the club with the "owners" acting as an old fashioned bank.manager back in the days where a business owner would seek the bank for investment or cash flow help the banknmanagwr understood the financial issues but also recognised the person's "technical/local" understanding.

The owners appointed Duff, Watson & the recruitment team and are responsible for the transfer strategy - the buck stops with them.
There's been no continuity in manager choices, Cooper to Martin was a complete change in playing style & then we switch to Duff & start over again. Now we sack Duff & the owners havent got a replacement lined uo.
Coleman the clueless now mentions changing the playing style again.
We sign players that don't suit the way in which we're trying to play & wonder why it doesn't work.
We keep changing the recruitment team & manager with no identifiable long term plan in place.
The club is in a mess & the ownership group are a shambles- yes they are putting money in but the decisions on how they spend it is atrocious.

Levien and Kaplan must be questioning Coleman, Gude and Watson - and demanding answers to a better January.

Don't forget season tickets have been released for next season and results need to improve quickly....

yes think about it overnight.....
Consider the implications of running these pesky owners out of town
who os there waiting in the wings to chuck millions into the money pit which us a football club

Yes I "stick up for the owners" but I also recognise the club is going backwards at a rate of knots but I swe no alternative....if the Trust had not been made impotent then maybe they could have grabbed hold of the situation and tried to drag the owners round.

What the answe is I don't know but it is Certainly not trying to run the owners out if town.
This lot would wind us up then where would that leave us.... Starting over outside of the football league.

The 'fans' have already made life real uncomfortable for the owners over the last SIX YEARS including when the club was at Wembley under Cooper 90 mins from the Premier league. The 'tough guy' fans were going to drag the club's other owners through the courts before realising this was a very serious business job and was way too big for them. Going to Court is not nice.

The struggles at the present is due the the 13 new signings not performing very well. These are Watson signings.

Humphreys and Rushworth are making the mistakes they were sent here to clear out of their system. Robotic Fulton is preferred over Patino by a cowardly manager. Ashby is not Cyrus Christie and had only played a handful of games. I would guess is no better than Sam Parker. Lowe has been Lowe and done OK.

Only Key has made a positive impact. He was in the pipeline before Watson arrived. Nothing at all from Ntjoe, Kukharevic and Petersen. All cost small millions that add up. It was Watson or Duff and Duff has gone. The heat is now on Watson to bring in the new 'Carlton Morris' for Swansea and turn the season around.

.

"tough guy"?

It's a damn shame they didn't as we would've seen the truth. Maybe you can ask your pals why they ponied up the costs of the Trust's legal bills.

Birch had the whole club paying tribute to Black Lives Matters and put it on the clubs web page. An extraordinarily slack thing to do without any due diligence at all. He just followed the pack like the rest of the woke media sheep. The clubs family philosophy had no resonance with BLM.

He at least had Leon Britton to help him. Swansea have suffered from not retaining the core group that preserved the clubs identity. Leon was probably too well healed to bother with a 9 to 5 job.

There is no quick fix. People like Fireboy want to "hound out" the only people that can stabilise the club who have to perform better. Coleman, Gude and Watson.

Watson has brought in 13 players and the playing staff is worse not better. Watson had no reason to release Whitaker. Piroe has brought in a projected £16m. You do not need much experience to see that.

From what I have been told by someone at another Championship club, Whitaker did not wish to stay with us.

Birch is badly missed at the club. He steadied the ship. He was a great communicator. And he appointed Cooper who led us to two play-offs.
Again I have no idea why Jase and Steve didn't make more of an effort to keep Birch.
