Are they greedy or just plain thick ? 18:20 - Dec 10 with 5525 views | builthjack | Preston at home Friday 22nd Dec, 7.45pm Under 12s for a quid. But U18s are £13 plus fees. Just effing do it at a quid for all U18s. Coleman, do you care at all. I don’t think so. He is on big bucks whilst some Swans fans/ parents are on £10 or so per hour.

Are they greedy or just plain thick ? on 13:48 - Dec 11 by ReslovenSwan1 | The N word is either racist or it is not. I do not see why certain words are racist like the abbreviation of 'Pakistan' or the description of a man from China. There is not much difference in the appropriate phrase "coloured person " and "person of colour" as far as i can see . It has long cultural implication of the British empire and exploitation. If use in rap or hip hop music it may be considered as vague sort of 'art form' or 'form of expression for a oppressed people'. UK authorities cut a lot of slack for "artists". Welsh sheep humour is at another level. All working people were exploited in those days including the Welsh miners and their children. If you look at the causality risks from the great Welsh mining disasters usually one of the dead would be children as young as 6. The Welsh have been house trained not to take offence at ethnic slurs which are illegal and have seen prosecutions. The British Darts people and Skysports brushed it under the carpet after Gerwyn Price was brutally targeted by drunk darts fans bringing his young family to tears. People on this forum gave him no backing as they know their place in the British hierarchy . In their view English drunks have a right to intimidate and humiliate Welsh families with porno ethnic slurs. This is unacceptable to me. Swansea fans because they are not self conscious chose to engage in prono racisl slurs rather than report it. People of a Unionist mentality do not see themselves as proud Welshmen so do not take offence. Any insult to the English is immediately squashed (quite righty) . This is happily very rare. Remember the club has stated there is a "zero tolerance policy". It is not true. It is about social development and progress. I have seen the fathers of the current fan base ruthlessly taunt black player in the 1970 and 1980s. It was "fair game" to put these players off they game. They all deny it now of course. I was there and saw it. I myself have developed with age. I do not even remember if i was offended. |

Are they greedy or just plain thick ? on 13:08 - Dec 11 by ReslovenSwan1 | It is engaging is ethnic slurs that is why. Some races would kill you for such a slur. Welsh fans were locked up in Armenia "for nothing". Could it be they were singing song that the Armenians found offensive? You are British not Welsh why should you be offended. I am offended at all porno ethnic slurs to anyone including black players and Asians. The world is changing 1970s slurs still exist in Wales. The last bastion for racist scum. I have seen it close up an personal in mixed company including children and it is not nice. |
That’s nothing. I was in America a few years ago and someone thought I was South African.Mind you,she was from Alabama where the spirit of George Wallace still burns .

And when are the club going to announce season ticket prices - I hope there is an asterix depending on division.......
Are they greedy or just plain thick ? on 20:22 - Dec 11 with 1083 views | KeithHaynes | How about £200 for the east, £250 for the west, and the north and south thereafter. Free kids ticket included. Incentives on refreshments and food at 50% off. Half price away travel for away games for season ticket holders. Chuck in a basic Jack Army shirt. Get incentives via local businesses close to the stadium. Is it that hard ?

Can the club charge those prices when there are such high costs/salaries for our executive team?

But you do not know their salaries I assume. These guys are in to create extra income somehow. Back in the day Mr Dineen was getting in the neck for being cheap as chips and no good at getting in sponsorships. The old pay peanuts get monkeys line. Give them a chance. The US ownership is taking this job seriously and not trusting locals anymore. If they bomb they can be called out

Extra income is not their sole remit, they are supposed to make well run and successful. So far this season this season the have "bombed" big time and yes they are being called out.

They overestimated the disposable income and level of support of the fans. The club itself was struggling after players bought by Mr Jenkins's team underperformed. They should have learned from this and will have been de briefed by Levien on past mistakes.

As Keith says they have been called out on the USA fund. Does it comply with EFL regulations. The trust is totally transparent and meets all EFL rules regarding listing on the club website and Companies House.

The Trust has no employees, no investments, no property, no future. It conforms with all the rules as a minimum requirement. The only beneficiaries are their bankers. Conformation with the EFL regulations are a matter for the club professionals.

It’s generally accepted a USA investor utilises an LLC. I’ve been told this by an ex director of the club. However, the questions of transparency remain, that’s isn’t a good look.

Are they greedy or just plain thick ? on 19:22 - Dec 10 by builthjack | It matters a lot to families, especially the ones with kids 12and over. The Sunderland trip, you could use the voucher for a pint. The players paid for the match tickets. [Post edited 10 Dec 2023 21:39]

The players didn't pay for Sunderland, the hierarchy did but were (and still are) in a bad place with many fans no matter what they do/did, they wanted to do something to reward the fans but if the owners had put their name to it, then many would have refused the offer. They wanted as many fans there as possible.
