Here we are, this is the match day thread. Leeds Leeds Leeds ! Yannick Bolasie signs for the swans 27th Nov 2023 16:21The Swans travel north to take on an inform Leeds Unites at Elland Road on Wednesday evening (KO: 7:45pm) There are more concerns about injuries after Saturday, and decreasing crowds at a rapid rate is most certainly an area the club needs to address with a home game coming up this Saturday Huddersfield Town. 0 Farke on the Swans and The Indy on non selection of players 28th Nov 2023 16:18The Swans have only won twice in the history of these sides meeting at Elland Road, the last time in 2019 when Wayne Routledge shot home late in the game, and the time before that 1949. Obviously history tells us that this will be a home win. However, football isn’t as easy to predict as that. 0 Swans gear up for Leeds United & Kristian Fletcher will return to DC Utd 29th Nov 2023 10:56Swans fans will be disappointed to learn that Kristian Fletcher who has made a big impact on the U21 side will more than likely be returning to DC Utd at the end of his loan / trial with Swansea City. Jason Levien who is a part of the majority ownership has clarified Kristian’s immediate future. 0 The Swans close down their lines of communication before Leeds test 29th Nov 2023 15:12With a news blackout being instigated by the club due to Michael Duff’s comments of late, the references to behind the scenes issues last week didn’t go down well. The usual press briefing has been isolated to a few sentences on the official site. However we have circumnavigated that, every closed door is met with a different set of keys. 0 Swans slump in another unsatisfactory performance : We look at the reasons why 30th Nov 2023 12:25Overall it was another disappointing loss for the Swans at Elland Road, a place they have only won twice at in the history of this fixture. Despite playing and matching their hosts during the first half an hour they eventually succumbed to the side who contained the better players and had more desire overall. 0

Leeds United v Swansea City : Match day thread on 23:19 - Nov 29 by QJumpingJack | We don't have enough leaders in the team. Think back to the 2010/11 promotion season - we had about 8 captains on the pitch at Wembley. The team seemed lost at times this evening during the game especially our defence. It is going to be a tough few weeks ahead. |
It’s been the story of the season, depending on the nest few games will most certainly depend on Duff’s future.

I don't believe our owners would consider paying Duff off. And can we afford it? They probably believe we will be safe with the bottom three so far behind.

If that’s the ambition, staying out of the bottom three, then I agree with you.

If Coleman has overall control - he will not have enough experience to decide what to do with Duff. He has been chairman for six months with no other experience in English football. His lack of football knowledge has to be a concern.

Are we really spending all this money on senior management just too stay out of the bottom three. If we are not going to bring any youngsters through we need to spend every year. What kind of incentive is that for decent youngsters to join us, if they see nobody making it into the first team.

The ambition may have been there in the Summer but the reality now in late November is that the squad is not that good. Even with 12/13 signings the team is weaker than last season. One can see that Duff was frustrated that we had not replaced Piroe (like for like). It looks like there have been poor decision made and lessons have not been learnt from the last seven years under this ownership.

Sell high buy cheap and hope you can repeat. Wood is the only asset of value and would have been gone in January if he wasn't injured. Clearly the summer signings have been failures apart from Key, the loans are doing well but have no value for us. Colemans chairmanship has been disastrous so far, pack him back to America and get in a DoF who knows the English game and what he is doing. Then for goodness sake listen to them or we are in deep, deep trouble. In simple language the Americans will understand, your investment is going down the plug hole, act now or your investment will self dilute.

Leeds United v Swansea City : Match day thread on 22:34 - Nov 29 by ReslovenSwan1 | Martin had five explosive /creative talents last season four have all gone for one reason and another and not been replaced. Piroe, Obafemi, Ntcham, Whittaker and Patterson. All were under contract. Martin appeared to fall out with at least three of them. Martin could only just about get to top ten with that firepower. £23m verall will come in. Duff and Watson should expect to get 50% of that money that is in the pipeline. Apparently a striker is not one of the three players required. Lowe is gone in January., Yates is a finisher not a target man and Cullen is a trier also out of contract. Ginnelly out all season. A cash injection and new recruitment has overseen a significant loss of scoring power. From pretty potent to powerpuff. |
Yates a finisher couldn't finish a sentence, he had a couple lovely valls put into him on space last night but didn't have pace or strength get to them ,also a lovely move broke down as ball played into him in box and his control just give it away, his movement is too predictive,as I said before I got go back to Stewart Phillips to think of a worse forward we've had.. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We’ll see in January. If they have no faith in Duff then we’ll get all the hype of us wanting players but couldn’t get them over the line. We’ve seen it all before.

The I fear for us,we slowly sinking every season our squad getting weaker and weaker the crowds dropping,I'm losing interest rapidly, went last night as it was an away game, lost interest going to home games unless a freebie, don't have the stomach give any more money to the yanks

Leeds United v Swansea City : Match day thread on 08:28 - Nov 30 with 1101 views | onehunglow | When opposing managers laud Grinesy, they are simply laughing up their sleeves in#trucking their players to simply put him under pressure especially on his right side, then he will either pass to them, fall over or get left for dead. He can be passed through, run around and if he loses the ball he won’t get it back . He won’t inspire his teammates nor will he shoot at goal with conviction. Our star man given a long term contract . Fulton,a pallid parody of a once decent player whilst the Glass Man waits patiently to age this career back on track. He’s busting a gut in fairness and he must be upset not to start and be mucked about, but other players have had this .
