Interesting New Piece From Ian MCCullough @ WLS on 14:02 - Oct 6 with 6182 views | vanrrrr | Thoroughly depressing read, that. Ian is right , there has been no progress (- The coventry game was as bad as last years shelling , maybe worse) and we seem to have no plan at all. Add An Ilias who maybe hacked off, playing out of position and getting dropped from his National side because of it and I fear it is going to get worse though…..starting Saturday. Also confirms question in another thread that Ainsworth a Bhatia appointment…. What a club.

I imagine that WLS have to observe certain parameters in order to continue to get access to him. GA's hardly going to be willing to be open to being interviewed if he's going to get slated all the time, is he? What questions would you want asked that WLS haven't?

True, but Ian keeps calling him 'mate' in the press conferences, and then spends all week on Twitter saying he's the worst manager we've ever had
Interesting New Piece From Ian MCCullough @ WLS on 18:02 - Oct 6 with 5623 views | Wegerles_Stairs | This is on Bhatia. No surprise that when you appoint a very limited manager you get performances like we've had frequently under Ainsworth. I feel sorry for him but they've gone from a system that was all about possession (if sometimes pointless possession) to its antithesis with one desperate appointment. The worry is what the clueless fools will do next... [Post edited 6 Oct 2023 18:03]

Yeah, I picked up on a little bit of hypocrisy from Ian McC a few months ago prior to the Burnley game, I think it was, when he had one of the sessions they do with Kevin Gallen, to which GA was obviously not invited. Both Gallen and Ian Mc (particularly Ian Mc) were absolutely slaying him, but then Ian was effectively crawling up GA's rectum the following week. GA did not look particularly impressed, which leads me to think he'd been tipped the wink about his former team-mate metaphorically disemboweling him the week before. And then, of course, we only went and bloody well won...

Does anybody else find this sort of behaviour just massively disingenuous. Either be a professional, attempt to build rapport with your subjects and keep your opinions to yourself, or, drop the matey stuff, and be straight up. It comes across a little cowardly and very much two faced. Whether Ian is right or not isn’t the point. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He's spent a long time working in Australia TBF, where everything is "mate". I found it amusing more than anything.
Interesting New Piece From Ian MCCullough @ WLS on 21:29 - Oct 6 with 4979 views | LazyFan | Roony seems to be courted by Brum, who thinks he would get them in the Prem, despite Eustace doing a decent job (apart from signing Laird and Roberts). This means Eustace may get the tin tack unfairly. And it may mean he's available to come back to us.

Socials, message boards magnify everything though. I was in the Crown with Ian after the last game of last season, and again on the train back from Watford. Having spent time with both of you, I know in person chatting in a pub like we used to you and him would agree with about 90% of what each other say.
Interesting New Piece From Ian MCCullough @ WLS on 21:55 - Oct 6 with 4875 views | horshamHoop | Mate or no mate - he is right about Ainsworth. The manager we should have had is the one beating best West Brom tonight and taking his team into 5th I never, ever want another manager with no coaching badges who only cares about effort....
Interesting New Piece From Ian MCCullough @ WLS on 22:02 - Oct 6 with 4847 views | kensalriser | Gaz was always the wrong appointment and another example of the lack of professionalism that's dogged this club for decades. And most of us said so at the time.

Agreed. A huge leap. I've said this before about WLS, they love stating "facts" that have no attributable quote attached.

i think thats pretty generous... the bit about chair and morocco is pretty poor "journalism"... no research, no sourcing- a theory presented in a way that makes it sound like a fact

Tbf I've heard it said a number of times that Australia is where someone will address you as "c**t" when they like you and "mate" when they don't! And there's certainly some truth in that.

I dont think that article or part of it was headed up as an Opinion piece. Would have been ok if it had been.
Interesting New Piece From Ian MCCullough @ WLS on 09:33 - Oct 7 with 4128 views | DeanoMD | Ian Mac Chief moaner in the media, him and Gallen constantly stating the negatives but as previous posters have said never actually says any of it to Ainsworth directly in the pressers etc. None of us are happy with how things are but I think a lot of fans are realistic enough to understand that at some point we need to stick with a manger for more than six months to try and get some stability into the club. Warburton had 3 years, it wasn't great first season but given time he did a decent job. I agree we should have probably kept him but lets not forget if grown men can't agree on things and act sensibly in the best interests of the club we've got no chance. Him Les and Ramsey falling out was childish in my view. Constantly getting negative stats and viewpoints pushed out there just makes things worse. If you think the players are not aware of what's being said you are very much mistaken, McCullough is not helping the situation at all, but hey it makes him stand out and he gets attention for it so I guess he's happy. Proper fan that he is.......
Interesting New Piece From Ian MCCullough @ WLS on 09:58 - Oct 7 with 4064 views | dmm | Since Dan Bennett left WLS and Ian Mc took over as host of its YouTube QPR discussions, I rarely watch it now. Despite being more insightful than others on there, Ben Kosky hardly got a look in and I don't think he appears on the show now. Ian and Kevin having a chin wag is just dull. WLS isn't too good anymore.

I reckon we should bury our heads in the sand and pretend everything is ok Let's ignore style of play , possession stats , chances created , goals , goals conceded and our home form. In Ainsworth we trust [Post edited 7 Oct 2023 10:19]

Warburton's first match in charge was far more impressive than any of Ainsworth's matches so far.
