Not my game, but there’s going to be a few on here who can work this out.

Kieran Maguire believes the interest is a tad high and the debt could be lower.

The figures are consistent with the Convertible loan note at a cursory glance. The note started at £10m and increased to £23m or so I have read. It then reduced in the last financial year as new shares were purchased with the loaned money. I do not n know if the CLN still holds cash and generate interest for the creditors.

I wonder if this firm organised and managed the CLN process. I remember interest was payable if the Loan Note was not converted. I do not understand why the SCST were not involved if the interest rate is high. I am not clear if interest was payable up to the point shares were purchased. If interest was added it could still be used to buy shares.

Swansea city did not need loans form a third party if the owners were loaning the money via the CLN pending investment into newly issued club shares.

I am not a financial expert but do not see why i cannot try to understand the processes.

There’s a post on the SCFC2 forum and another on Planet Swans referring to this. Finance isn’t my game, but there are some very knowledgable posters between the 3 forums and the speculation is that it’s potentially loan/credit facility in lieu of the future Piroe payments. Londonlisa2001 is very knowledgable on these matters and it’s worth checking out her posts.

I believed that we were moving away from staged payments. If there was a change, we must have been desperate to sell.

If that’s the case then we are either in need of the funds for daily running of the club or for pending transfer deals ? I’ll go for the former.

Owning a Championship club without parachute payments is financially almost impossible as we all know.

We are borrowing against future income which is not a great place to be, we will have to keep selling, and making good purchases, if we have high levels of borrowing.

I'm not sure how much debt we are carrying and what serving that debt costs us?

One does start to question the "significant investment" which will apparently be revealed after the window closes. If my memory serves me correctly.
