That defining pass is missing as the Swans draw with Coventry City 19th Aug 2023 18:30
The third midlands team of the season took on the Swans this afternoon, nothing odd in that except it was only the third game of the campaign for both sides. Coventry hadn’t won in Swansea since 1950 and their last win in the league was back in 1981. Nearly seventeen thousand enjoyed the afternoon’s entertainment. 0

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Coventry have sold out their allocation.

Surprisingly, there are still around 4500 unsold seats.
A late rush hopefully.

It puts us at around our average crowd last season. I don't know how many ST's we sold but the cost of everything right now must be having an effect.

I would say it's normal for gates to be down in August with so many on holiday.

Yes they both played at left full back at the Swans but I think most of us thought while Bidewell was a steady left sided player with a good cross and an asset in defensive aerial battles he was similar to Latibeaudie a bit slow and both were caused problems by pacey tricky wingers when played as full backs.
If used by Coventry in those positions I would see them as weaknesses to be exploited.
Bidwell had trimmed down his weight in the preseason of year he left but was allowed or pushed to go given his contract situation, only a year left on his contract I believe?

With the away support of teams in our league this season I would be very surprised if that statement was true. Swans supporters are very resilient and home numbers will also be solid. Personally I don't think our numbers will be down.

No matter what happens tomorrow, or the next half a dozen or so games, it’s going to take time, with 8 new players coming in, ( plus new manager and his assistants) for any shape or style to bed in.
Great Patience is required.
And after the boredom of RM’s “process” taking 2 years, with 70% possession and still loosing, I’m quite prepared to give Michael Duff the backing he deserves.
A school of thought says a manager lives and dies by the players he brings in.
Not quite sure how that works out, when we are going down the European route of managers that are coaches, and they utilise the players that are brought in, a La Paul Watson COO.
At the end of the day, what do we know, compared to a professional football manager/ coach, who’s livelihood depends on it ?

Rightly or wrongly don't think Duff will be given the same amount of time as Martin. With the investment on and off the pitch this season top six is a minimum.

Loads of tickets unsold, well over 3000.
That’s poor.
Unless there are loads of walk ups of course.

Agree on that.
But it should be marketed better so as to sell those empty seats.
