 Swans very flat in a half hearted friendly at Oxford 21st Jul 2023 22:03Swansea City took on Oxford United in a pre season friendly this evening at the Kassam Stadium in what turned out to be the toughest test so far this summer. Injuries and stops in play were the main concern, especially with Ben Cabango going down and substituted in the second half.  0

Half a dozen of us met up in The Chequers. Fine evening at the Oxford Stadium. Good natured crowd who mostly understood it was the first pre-season friendly and therefore of limited significance. If we start next season with Naughton at LWB we will be in trouble… Or if we start with Fisher in goal for that matter. But we won’t.
Having said that I was disappointed we didn’t change most of the team at half time, or stop Wood from kicking the ball randomly at phantom players. Shelvey used to do the same. | |
