Any news on this? Fisher cannot be first choice this season surely, fingers crossed RM will come in with a bid for him to go to the Saints? Dunno how far off Benda is?
Plenty of game-time with Utrecht but rarely in the squad for Celtic … ratings a bit higher than Fisher. On a free would be useful but I don’t see him being a huge improvement. Time will tell.

Benda was never going to get back to full fitness for the 1st team much before Christmas.
Fisher did absolutely fine when RM changed the tactics and stopped putting him under ridiculous pressure.
Footballers at Swansea should be able to play 4 against 3 without thinking about it as second nature. If the keeper cannot do it go somewhere else. It is matter of training practice and aptitude. What do they do all week? If it is 4 v 4 then a chip over the top.
Look at the Celina goal v Man city. Against the best high press in the world. The Swansea way. Swansea cannot be successful without ambition. The clubs US owners simply do not want to spend all of their money. The Welsh owners do not want to spend anything.
Martin is perhaps not as good as Potter was in basic coaching.
But Martin brought Fisher in to play that way because it was what Martin had him doing in League 1.

As you pointed out Martin was not regarded highly by all and the acquisition and selection of Fisher defined him. Idiotic . The thread is about a New Keeper . This means the author has not been impressed by Fish
