Better off going in the red seats at Legoland.

I've climbed it in mid-Feb with snow on the ground everywhere and there was still a queue at the top. It's a very busy mountain.

Fan Gyhyrich by Crai Reservoir is only about 600ft shorter with a much prettier walk up and is usually utterly deserted.

Another often forgotten is the Sugar Loaf near Abergavenny , anyone who spent time in Cwrt Y Gollen will certainly remember it , a four mile hike but well worth it

I remember playing against Cwrt y Gollen when I first played senior football at 15 in the old Brecon league. Tough army boys with a few Gurkhas in amongst them.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

It never used to be busy. I think in recent years it’s been the traditional “let’s post a picture of us at the summit on Facebook so everyone can like it and see how awesome we are” nonsense that has infiltrated our lives.

Fair point.

a friend of mine went up for the first time, after they came down, they showed me a pic of them at the summit, I said that ain't the summit, its not got the plaque, they'd gone to the top of Corn Du and hadn't realised Pen-y-fan was the next one over

I first walked up Pen Y Fan when I was 15, there was a group of a dozen of us.

On arrival at the summit there was nobody else up there.

On a nice day I prefer to sit outside the Tafarn Y Garreg Inn with a pint in my hand, watching all the sweaty walkers and their dogs walk past, much more relaxing for a young man like me
