Swansea City v Sheffield United : Matchday Thread 22/23 06:12 - Sep 10 with 14113 views | KeithHaynes | Tuesday September 13th 2022 Kick off 7.45pm Heavy week and intense training for Swansea City newbies 12th Sep 2022 20:46Russell Martin has stated his players have had some exceptionally valuable time over the past nine days with intensive training and the new players brought in have had extra time to understand the swans ethos. 0 Michael Obafemi ! What really is his problem ? 13th Sep 2022 09:00If the words of Swansea City manager Russell Martin are to be compared with his press conferences of old then it seems likely Michael Obafemi will miss tonights game against Sheffield United. It’s quite clear the deadline day dealings with Burnley were not to his liking, and he wanted to leave Swansea City, and now his reaction is as we have seen before. 1 Oli McBurnie to start tonight with Billy Sharp ? 13th Sep 2022 10:21Sheffield United are pleading player poverty when it comes to selections for tonight’s game against Swansea City at the swansea.com stadium. McBurnie is destined to start the game with Billy Sharp who is back from injury. However, it’s in defence where the blades have problems. 0 Swansea City: Steven Benda; Nathan Wood, Kyle Naughton, Ben Cabango; Matty Sorinola, Joe Allen, Matt Grimes (captain), Ryan Manning; Jay Fulton, Ollie Cooper, Joel Piroe. Substitutes: Andy Fisher, Harry Darling, Olivier Ntcham, Jamie Paterson, Luke Cundle, Fin Stevens, Armstrong Oko-Flex. Sheffield United: Wes Foderingham, George Baldock, Chris Basham, Sander Berge, Oli McBurnie, John Egan (captain), Anel Ahmedhodzic, Oliver Norwood, Tommy Doyle, Iliman Ndiaye, Rhys Norrington-Davies. Benda is twice the keeper Fisher is and its criminal it's taken RM this long to work it out. Just need some canny substitutions this half and we could nick this. [Post edited 13 Sep 2022 20:40]

Fantastic to see the overwhelming majority, as in by the sounds of it, everyone there was respectful even if they don’t agree with the monarchy. Gives a sense of proportionality to our actual fan base instead of a couple of posters on here based in Ireland and deepest darkest West Wales.

Swansea City v Sheffield United : Matchday Thread 22/23 on 21:45 - Sep 13 with 1250 views | Dr_Winston | Maybe it's worth questioning the wisdom of leaving a striker capable of scoring better than a goal every other game out of the squad just to prove a point if we're missing this many chances? Piroe behind Oba is our best forward line. Deliberately not playing that just for the sake of pique is idiotic.

Martin should also take part of the blame by taking cooper off. After watching that tonight I am quite worried about getting dragged into a relegation battle.

He should at the very least be playing every week in one of Europe's top five leagues. I've argued for a long time that he'll end up playing for a team in Europe in the very near future. He's the most talented goalkeeper I have seen play for us. So many mediocre players have been able to use our club as a springboard, yet here we have a genuine "wonderkid" and we nearly lost him for free without ever giving him a chance. It's incredible.
