Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread 19:00 - Aug 28 with 17882 views | Sirjohnalot | Don’t Neil for Alex on Wednesday night. Its yet another new manager facing the Swans. Swansea City would like to advise supporters heading to tonight’s game against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium to please collect their pre-paid match tickets as early as possible to avoid queues. Supporters who are not yet in possession of their match ticket can collect these from turnstile 55 at the bet365 Stadium which is located next to the away entrance. Collections will be available 90 minutes before kick-off and supporters are advised to collect tickets as early as possible. Swansea City earn a point when really it should have been three ( again ) 31st Aug 2022 22:19Regardless of what anyone says about yet another late late goal which deprived the swans of the honours it was a much better performance all round for Russell Martin’s Swansea City. However, yet again it signifies a lack of character in the Swansea defence which concedes goals late on as if it’s a given part of their game. 0

Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 21:46 - Aug 31 by sP7qupUf | We have played 7 competitive games and drawn/lost three in injury time. We also conceded a late equaliser against Plymouth pre-season. $ points gone. Criminal. |
Not to mention the back end of last season too. Utter joke.

Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 21:43 - Aug 31 by pencoedjack | It was marginally better John. This group of players would be better under a decent gaffer. Stoke looked a very poor side. |
Maetin cost us that why take ollie cooper off was having a brilliant game then takes off Sorinola for a forward. Took Joe off against Milwall and we fell apart. The players gave their all but what with the suicidal defending the crazy subs. Martin either wants the boot or he is totally inept.

Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 21:44 - Aug 31 by jojaca | Much better performance, just thought the subs were poor. I thought we lost control of midfield when we took off Fulton and Cooper. Ntcham is no good when we are defending a lead. |
Subs were poor AGAIN!!! We play like a team with no fire in our bellies - it’s no surprise we don’t look for a killer 2nd goal or that we wilt under pressure

Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 21:48 - Aug 31 with 1109 views | DwightYorkeSuperstar | We had more possession, as is usual. Yet the opposition managed to create twice as many dangerous attacks as us and attempt twice as many shots on goal. It appears to be business as usual to me. Even down to the inability to sensibly see a game out. That wasn't their only big chance at the end of the match.

Improving? In fairness, much starts with Grimes who should tell Martin they are not comfortable with his "project". Cooper looked terrific before being taken off.

Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 21:44 - Aug 31 by onehunglow | Yes but it starts with him.He s the last man and the one who decides to clear the ball out of trouble or ,as he does,to simply plonk the ball away. It is surreal. There is enough talent in this team and they are being told to play a certain way. Frankly,Grimes is the one to shoulder the blame as he is allegedly the club captain but a mute one. That was a better all round performance gifted away and it truly stinks. |
Why don’t you post and praise the players when we are playing well and take the lead early in the game? Oh! Hang on, there’s no need to answer.

Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 21:41 - Aug 31 by Dr_Parnassus | Not sure if being serious? Stoke had 20 shots on goal, 20. You can see why many of us are furious about the training situation, these things are not being addressed. I was calling for work on injury time game management last week. It’s negligence. |
20 shots is meaningless. How many were on target?

Taking Sorinola off for Obafemi at that point made no sense. Fisher not lumping it as far as possible, makes no sense. Martins team management is bad, but his game management is horrific. We have been poor this season, but would be in the top half if we didn't give away injury time goals.

We might have pushed forward once or twice but we turned backwards much more often. Stoke we’re poor and under a new manager, when we took the game to them they looked shaky. We didn’t do it enough

Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 21:58 - Aug 31 with 1210 views | Sirjohnalot | I’ve blasted them the last couple of games, that was much better, played well, Stoke came back into it and got a goal at the end, enjoyable game. Looked a lot better tonight. Martin isn’t going anywhere, let’s get behind the team for what will be a tough game on the weekend I don’t believe for a second we’re not training, that would be all over the local paper
Stoke City v Swansea City Matchday Thread on 21:58 - Aug 31 with 1249 views | jasper_T | Doesn't make Martin look great that he was whinging about his bench and then Ollie goes and has a game like that. I didn't see the end of the game. Lucky me.
