It does seem strange to me that we would bring in a 26 year old who scored 11 in 40 in his best season in League One, when we have a player who scored 5 in 18 in his first season in League One and is still only 20. One is probably at or near his peak making a step up to the Championship, the other has been given little opportunity to do so with such limited game time. |  | | |

Do Portsmouth have to pay a sell on clause to

In June Portsmouth a had a valuation but Swansea could not commit. £1m or 2m. Now there is £9m extra in the coffers with the prospect of another £5m. They now can commit if they want to. Presumably Martin would like cash for Whittaker, Joseph and Cullen but Portsmouth want 1 or 2 as minor makeweights as all 3 are relatively unproven. |  |
