Steve Cooper and ‘that’ meeting which ended his time at Swansea City 29th Apr 2022 11:11 It was literally a few days after the defeat to Brentford in the championship play off final at Wembley when the writing on the wall became apparent regards Steve Cooper’s future at Swansea City. There was already some very obvious issues between Cooper and CEO Julian Winter even before the final, but afterwards the whole thing came to a head.1
Just where is the pressure tomorrow ? Not on Swansea City that’s for sure.29th Apr 2022 08:00 It’s been a great season when you look at the progress of Swansea City over the eight months that Russell Martin has been at the club. For the more patient supporter they have seen a definite upwards motion in the type of game the manager wants to play, and it augers well for next season. However, tomorrow the pressure isn’t on Swansea, it’s on the home side as Nottingham Forest look to secure a home win and a prime place in the play offs.1
The Swansea Indie meet up, equal times to be had, evening officer 😉 👊
Referee is a fecking toss bag, handball happened when ball was over the line and his arm dropped on the ball anyway, nothing deliberate whatsofeckingever absolutely ridiculous by yet another utterly clueless Championship Ref.
Ball was in the dangerous place in first place, cause of us again fannying about in our area.
Brilliant goal, Grimes to Oba and Oba neatly finishes fantastic.

That Christie is on is he off took some explaining on Sky!
Given red for handball on line and pen. Ref then changed it to yellow and gave goal. If goal had been scored then ball was dead when Christie handled it. Ref Scott at his best again.
Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

Laughable in it.
He's the w@nker who was ref when Sunderland’s won 4-2 win at the Liberty in January 2016, when he managed to miss two Defoe offside goals, award a dubious penalty and send off Kyle Naughton.

Fisher made some good saves.
Sam Surridge is an absolute lemon.
I’m amazed we didn’t concede 5.
Fisher was outstanding, that save onto the post was excellent. Follow up header should have been buried, headed it right at his legs. Surridge should have got a hattrick really.
Suicidal defending, really dislike the way we play, it’s more like a time wasting exercise than a possession game.
But on the positive, when you have Piroe and Obafemi on the pitch, always in the game.

Our defending is awful, and the only one on the field having a worst game than Manning is the Ref.
Passing around in the back drawing opposition players to put pressure on us is fine, if you got the players to do it, we haven't which costs us goals everyone can see it except Martin and his staff, there's no need to do it, draw them in further up the pitch not in our own penalty area, especially when we got a complete idiot reffing the game.

I can only hope that this playing around the back to the extent we do is for players to get used to it and using this season as a sort of practice season. Then next season we play possession football if course but more pragmatically.
