Agreed, saying he never had an outlet is moot because he rarely passes it forward when there are chances. He hesitates and then plays safe. He slows us down so much at a time when we have no real pace anyway.
Look at the difference when Downes had the ball, he was brave, he carried the ball forwards. We need to be rid of Grimes and find another Downes! |
Grimes played further forward starting with Downes and Smith behind with Downes early booking causing the change. I might have missed a post but the breakdown of our play going forward was Paterson who really did have a shocker, he was constantly dropping in the space blocking Manning then playing the ball back.
We need pace from somewhere desperately and i still think RM is doing OK but im concerned about players in positions where they will be exposed. Cooper must have been ectstatic seeing Ben at LB and Bennet at RB. |  | | |

With respect,we have been mullered in other games by having such low players for full backs. Cooper will have known what to expect and it was obviou.
Martin said before hand we only worry about ourselves not the opposition.
Now that means he is not prepared to change a formation to best suit our players.
This is basic management.I feel for Bennett and Cabango;Naughton even as it is not fair on them to perform to their best ability under this Chap.
Downes ,to me,looks a class apart but should have been hooked as he was likely to get a red and almost did. This again is managing players.Martin has not a scooby.

Quetion is WHEN he will go. I tell ye,another 5 performances at home like that and he wont see the end of the season .Then we restart.
