Make me a winner... 09:33 - Apr 30 with 15380 views | spudgun | Listening to the radio the other day and there is a phone-in competition whereby you can win (£60,000 on this particular day) as long as when the radio station calls you, you have to answer within 5 rings and say "Make me a winner". If you say anything else (like "Hello") you do not win the money. The presenter said someone the day before had answered the phone and said "Hello" first and therefore missed the £60 grand prize! Can you imagine how that person felt? If you are having a bad day that could tip you right over the edge. Struck me as a rather cruel competition...

I won 150€ at the supermarket last week. You've got to flash the bar code on your receipt at this fruit machine type thing. Sometimes you win a 1€ voucher. I got the jackpot. When claiming my prize, the store anager said there are only three 150€ winners this month. I got a credit card thing with 150€ on it. The wife has it now.
