The Early Edition 'Footballers, Sir. Thousands of Them...' Match Thread 14:09 - Apr 4 with 25526 views | Dorse | Currently, the UN recognises 195 countries, with a world population of 7.8 billion, representing thousands of different cultures, traditions and languages. Our differences are many, however, there is one thing that unites the entire human race: the fact that Nottingham Forest's squad contains at least one representative of each of the world's nations. Like some latter day Noah's ark, Forest has chosen to gather two of every culture, preserving the essence of humanity in case of cataclysm. Can QPR's rag tag collection of waifs, strays and Dom Ball make any impact on this cast of thousands? Definitely. 2-0 Rangers.

The Early Edition 'Footballers, Sir. Thousands of Them...' Match Thread on 16:28 - Apr 5 by HantsR | No one really having a decent game today. |
Only Field and Kakay been anywhere near even average. I blame the bloke who wrote the preview talking about top 6 next year! One of those days in this mad division. Coventry winning 2-0 just another example! Given the ball away far too easily today and we've been too slow to build anything. At least we can't balme the ref today! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think Kakay has been very poor, Paul. And Field has looked what he is - a player out of position.

Derby did the same to us, and we did then what I thought we'd stopped doing until - lo and behold - we did it again today: swamped in midfield we withdraw a midfielder for a forward.

Yes, reflecting on a 3-0 win (at least?) they'll be delighted but ultimately all they've done is sit tight and let us play half paced with loose passes. Sinton saying this and lack of crowds helping them, however it's a poor showing from us that's allowed it, I do think it was the mistake from Barbet that is ultimately to blame as I'm sure 0-0 at halftime and they would have had to look at changing things and we might have got energised at the same time. Who knows but as we were a goal down and knowing Hughton would carry on since they had that MW should have been pro active and got things mixed up, as many said get a back 4 on so we could get the wings working at least. 2 steps forward and 1 back again!!

Kakay has not been the issue today. He’s done okay. Johansen and Ball have been dreadful. Chair has played with no intent. The passing of the entire back 3 has been slow and ponderous. Off the ball the entire team haven’t worked hard, or closed down with any urgency or intent. It’s been completely half arsed. Kakay is one of the very few who looks to be still trying. That last attack, Dickie, who I love, is walking back, whereas Kakay is clearing it from inside the six yard box. Kakay has been one of the least bad. We’ve been bad because our main players have all been very poor and, if we’re honest, a bit lazy today.
