Wonder if we'll start with 3 CHs against Sunderland?
Not against Sunderland, no.
It'd mean us sacrificing an advanced player and we play well against teams who want to play football.
It might be worth a try against a dour L1 meat and 2 veg team like Accrington where we need to pack the middle of the park with 2 (or even 3) sitting in front of the 3 centre halves.
It springs to mind, and perhaps would be worth a try, if we need a point against both Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury.
Everything has a time and a place but 3 CHs isn't a philosophy, if you're a team with ambition, for a season long campaign.
Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.

We've now got 68 points from 40 games and need another 7 points from the remaining 6 games to achieve the average needed for a play off spot.
2 wins, 1 draw, 3 defeats.
A win against Rochdale tonight and we'd be more or less there.

Dare to dream.
It's getting closer. Good to see you back Jane. Hope you are OK.

It's tight now but we should be OK.
We've got 4 games left and 2 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss will do it for sure.
We've got to play Sunderland, Northampton, Doncaster, and Bristol Rovers.
Bristol Rovers are relegated.
Northampton are more or less relegated and are waiting for the fat lady.
Doncaster have nothing to play for.
It'd be nice to do the double over Sunderland.
With fatigue high and confidence low, pressure on, and nerves coming into play, it may be time to ditch any purist thoughts of system and style by chucking 4-4-2 / 4-2-2-2 or 4-3-2-1 out of the window and go all out dogs of war.
Scratch out a few points to see us over the line. Perhaps we should have done it earlier.
Frustrate the opposition. Spoiling tactics. Get the opposition's centre halves in the book and even go for a sending off. Clean sheet. Nab a goal.
Everything has a time and a place and the circumstances may be such as to go full on Steve Evans x 10.
3-6-1.

If they win their 1 remaining match, Portsmouth can get a maximum of 75 points. Their last game is winnable - at home to Accrington. Our goal difference is +5 better than Portsmouth's.
If they win their 1 remaining match, Oxford can get a maximum of 74 points. Their last game is winnable - at home to Burton. Our goal difference is +3 better than Oxford's.
If they win their 2 remaining matches, Charlton can get a maximum of 74 points. Their last games could hardly be more difficult - away to Lincoln and at home to Hull (ha ha). Our goal difference is +9 better than Charlton's.
We're more or less in the play offs but still need 1 point to be absolutely sure.

With 77 points in the bag, our place was confirmed after the win against Doncaster.
It only remains to be decided who our opponents in the 2 legged play off semi final will be. Perm any one from either Sunderland, Lincoln, Portsmouth, Oxford or Charlton.
Blackpool v Bristol Rovers Charlton Athletic v Hull City Lincoln City v AFC Wimbledon Oxford United v Burton Albion Portsmouth v Accrington Stanley Sunderland v Nothampton Town
Predictions:
We've got to assume that we'll beat Bristol and finish in 3rd place. If that's the case we'd play the 6th placed team.
I'd say that both Sunderland and Oxford will also win.
I'd put Charlton, Lincoln and Portsmouth down for draws.
Therefore, the final table will not look like this because my predictions are never right:

Conclusion: There's no way we'll be facing Oxford 'cos I'm always wrong about this sort of thing.
Don't think there's much between any of those teams tbh
