Hope it's not the Oxford one.
Still haven't forgiven them for 1986.

Anyone else on here got one yet

There goes that's theory then! Seems like the reactions are a very individual thing.

My reaction to the first AZ jab was so severe that I cancelled the second one. I went for the jab in perfect health so I was definitely not prepared for what followed the jab.

I had a severe three day headache that required ibuprofen throughout the day and night to overcome it and this all started within 30-40 minute of getting the jab. I then went from a 6 hour a night sleeper to 14.5 hours first night, then a couple of 12 hour sleeps, and am still not anywhere back to my normal 6 hours three months later. Also within a day or two of the jab, the glands in my neck became swollen and are still tender now. The sores on my scalp that also arrived were tender / painful but luckily disappeared after the first few weeks. The dead arm was a doddle compared to everything else.

Not sure whether I will ever have another jab but if I do then I will try to avoid AZ in the future. I'm delighted that it appears to be fine for so many other people but it is not for me thanks.

Bucks, I had the Pfizer back at the end of Feb and was knocked out for a couple of days too, rest of my family had AZ jab and some had rough couple of days and others (older ones generally) not a bother on them afterwards.

I have my second now on Friday this week. My attitude is that if you believe the hype then getting a reaction to the jab proves it is having an effect on our immune systems and I am happy to crack on with it.

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

Bosh, I know I should have the second jab and I fully intended to do so but I'm in my 70's now and am not sure I could easily fight off the resulting problems if the second jab was worse than the first. I really was remarkably healthy before the first jab but haven't been anywhere near as good since I had the AZ vaccine.

Do it Bucks, you be fine.....I had mine 2 weeks ago and had minor issues which were overcome in a day or so.

Be safe Bucks.

If in doubt seek advice....your symptoms don't sound nice but catch COVID and it could be a lot worse.

I'm just back home from Millennium Point in Birmingham where I had my 2nd jab. As some of you will know, today is Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you). It was great to see some of the NHS staff and volunteers wearing themed Star Wars outfits, to celebrate the day. My injection was given to me by none other than.....wait for it, wait for it........JABBER THE HUTT!!!!

Who said dad jokes are rubbish? (the bit about me getting my 2nd jab is all true, as for the rest of it.....)

I don’t fancy yours much… I’ve got my first jab tomorrow afternoon so hopefully I get Dr Aphra (Zeneca) doing mine!

Sounds rough Bucks. Have you consulted your GP or another medic? May be wise to get a check up in case you have coincidentally developed something of which you are unaware.

No FB, I haven't consulted my GP as the jab symptoms have diminished over time and I'm too old to be bothered with an on line consult which is just about the only thing available these days.

I did try to get hold of my GP over the phone once but that ended in failure. The first time she rang back I was washing dishes in the kitchen and she hung up before I could get to the phone. Later that day she rang again and I was taking in an Amazon parcel at the front door and was again too late for the call. She hangs up after 3 rings. Guess I'm just not fast enough these days.

I doubt I will ever bother my GP much. My health has been good until the vaccine jab. I haven't seen any of the past 3 GP's allocated to me before this one and they have all moved elsewhere over time.

That was also my experience. All family members had Pfizer and never skipped a beat, unfortunately my eldest girls boyfriend suffered from nausea for 48 hours after the Moderna.

So if you were in a vulnerable group you’d refuse the vaccine and possibly die from covid instead?

The hospitalization and death nosedive stats since February speak for themselves. Whilst France, Spain and Germany were third-waving horrendously, we were in steady decline as our older generations had their first vacs.

Btw...do you assume all preventative measures an experiment...flu, yellow fever, smallpox, the pill, etc an 'experiment'?

I’ve had both my jabs now (Pfizer).

First one: not a jot. Slightly sore arm but that was it. Felt fine. Actually felt better after it! Shaved a minute of my admittedly slow 5k time, two days after the jab vs two days before.

Second one had Thurs eve: very sore arm and then Friday just felt whacked out. Light headed, achy, permanent dull headache, really tired body. Slept for ages Friday night and still didn’t feel right until mid-afternoon tonight. Odd. I spoke with someone who has a few doctor friends and apparently with Pfizer, if you do have side effects, they are a lot worse on the 2nd jab, whereas with AZ it’s the first one.

Glad I’ve had it done. If you don’t believe in vaccines, I have no words. There is no global coordinated conspiracy around giving vaccines that harm or control you. It’s utter nonsense.

I had my first AZ last week and felt fine. My family and in-laws have had either AZ or Pfizer, and only one of us has felt rough afterwards.

Fulham FC: It's the taking part that counts

Well he sounds like a really level-headed, reliable sort who's never been wrong about anything.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vernon Coleman (born 18 May 1946) is an English conspiracy theorist, anti-vaccination activist, AIDS denialist, blogger and novelist who writes on topics related to human health, politics and animal issues. Coleman's medical claims have been widely discredited and described as pseudoscientific. He was formerly a newspaper columnist and general practitioner (GP).

Writing for The Sun newspaper in the 1980s, Coleman denied that AIDS was a significant risk to the heterosexual community. He later claimed AIDS is a hoax, writing, "it is now my considered view that the disease we know as AIDS probably doesn't exist and has never existed". Such claims have been rejected by the medical community.[18][19]

On 3 November 1988 in The Sun, Coleman wrote, "those who still claim that AIDS is a major threat to those who enjoy straight sex are either illiterate or irresponsible". On 3 August 1989, he wrote a letter to the editor of The Independent claiming that "your article [in defence of AIDS awareness] has simply helped to perpetuate a long-standing myth–that AIDS is a threat to heterosexuals". On 10 August 1989, Coleman’s Health Matters column demanded that an AIDS awareness campaign be abandoned. On 17 November 1989, The Sun published an article under the headline "STRAIGHT SEX CANNOT GIVE YOU AIDS–OFFICIAL", claiming "the killer disease AIDS can only be caught by homosexuals, bisexuals, junkies or anyone who has received a tainted blood transfusion". The following day, Coleman supported The Sun's claims with an article under the headline "AIDS–THE HOAX OF THE CENTURY", similarly claiming AIDS was not a significant risk to heterosexuals, that medical companies, doctors and condom manufacturers were conspiring to scare the public and had vested interests in profiteering from public service announcements, and that moral campaigners were attempting to frighten young people into celibacy to establish traditional family values. Coleman also claimed gay activists were "worried that once it was widely known that AIDS was not a major threat to heterosexuals, then funds for AIDS research would fall"

I had my first AZ jab last week. The injection was painless. Next day my arm was a bit sore and I felt slightly nauseous. I found keeping active was the best thing and by the middle of the third day I felt better.

Yes. I had my first one early March and was told my second would be early June. 12 weeks between them.
