Looks like we're stuck with the same old, same old next season then.
His legend is growing!

He was being Judd basically.

I’m adding James to the list too. Utter, utter shite.

I quite liked James at the time with Sit Down and Laid being good singles in particular

Bit harsh. He travels up from Sussex for home games and I've met him at several away fixtures. Decent bloke.

Some of my polls haven't been particularly good.

Thank you for my endorsement 😁

The Smith's and Buzzcocks was overrated and that Freddy and the Dreamers from the 60's was shite although The Hollies was one of the best bands ever

We don't hear enough Zager & Evans. Poor show from the DJ extraordinaire.

Gonna throw this out there, and I may even start a thread on shite Manchester bands.

Stone Roses are/were shite.

The Courteeners.

Tangled up in blue.

Can't stand either of those songs, insipid, overplayed, Radio 2 fodder.

The Stone Roses first album remains one of my all time favourites though. I was leaving school the summer it came out and it brings back a lot of good memories. That said, their subsequent output got nowhere near matching it. I quite liked the Charlatans at the time but rarely listen to them these days.

Tell us more about judd getting whacked by the bouncer, that sounds like an ace story

We were stood near to the mixing desk with a great view when some nobhead decided he was going to push his way through, eventually knocking me into a bouncer, who took exception to being bumped into and so punched me in the stomach and shoved me back.

I think he hurt his arm.

Anyway, since then I've not had trouble at Manics gigs as I am now always on their guest list, eh Kel?

Get bent or I’ll tell that story about your back at the Doves gig.

I only get smacked at gigs when I'm with you and not on the guest list.

There's a common theme emerging...

See, the Manics. They’re from Wales but all Welsh bands don’t go around dressing like Tom Jones do they? Nobody refers to it as South Wales music. They’re just a good band from somewhere, anywhere.

They're not a good band.

I like the music played at Dale, I get that I'm in a minority on here though and I understand why people get annoyed with it but stories like this show the club in a positive light which is a good thing.

Would like a couple of changes now though as well like the run out music, it was very Keith Hill and he aint here so lets have a change at some point.

The word 'minority' is particularly significant here.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Agreed too, I generally like the music (though I do agree it's a bit loud).

I generally like it, but I'd prefer it to be played at a volume where I can hold a conversation with the people I'm there with.

1. The theme tune to the Castrol GTX advert. It’s intriguing, alluring, unashamedly masculine and futuristic. Just need to dub the bloke’s voice out talking about engines and lubrication.
2. The Theme tune to Battlestar Galactica - futuristic obvs. but also reflective of a journey with battles.
3. Big Fun, Can’t Shake the Feeling. No superlatives required.

Them’s my three.

The Castrol GTX advert is Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 7.

That’s weird because Bach wrote a song about cigars n’all.
