If we want centre-left policies in Wales then England is a lost cause and Wales will only get centre-left policies if its truly independent of England.

In Wales that is. Or if you believe that the Labour party in Wales has been a complete shambles and made Wales much worse? Lets see what Scotland does, give her the indyref part 2 and learn from their experience.

It sounds like a particularly virulent form of personality psychosis, Tramp. Are there many of you, enough for a support group? Where can I donate? It is Christmas after all.

Is see things from a long way off, it helps to be impartial and the big one for Welsh independence is Welsh Labour if they go down the independence route, now they are thick and slow on the uptake but if they keep losing seats and if they disagree with London Labour as they have been they might find more common ground with Plaid than with London Labour and who knows in time it might be on particularly against a backdrop of Scotland going independent and a united Ireland.

It is now inevitable. Scotland is on its way. Northern Ireland for the first time has more republican than unionist MPs. Unless Wales wants to remain an irrelevant afterthought for ever more, it will have to separate. And it will.

The logic of the brainless brexiteers supports it anyway. Why shouldn’t Wales take back control of what it gave up in 1536.

Here is the type of thing I was looking for showing a Labour group supporting Welsh independence.

It’ll happen, but we won’t see it in our lifetimes. Not Wales anyway, although it’s inevitable eventually.

I'm younger than you mind The Jocks won't be long and they'll be out, then it'll be a united Ireland, then we go. I reckon I'll comfortably see the first two happening...

England is a lost cause, ive been saying it for decades. on 18:35 - Dec 13 with 2351 views | ladyjack | Labour unfairly and disingenuously have called Plaid everything for the best part of hundred years helping to make Plaid toxic with a lot of non Welsh speaking voters which is ironic as they are a nicey nice party unwilling to upset anyone, a fairly middle of the road party and a petite bourgeoise party what is also ironic is now Labour have themselves been unfairly demonised by the right wing press since the 80's, so I have got no sympathy with them on that score. But Labour in Wales are still a strong voice and if they distance themselves from Corbyn/London/England etc and become more sympathetic to independence, even campaign for independence then combine that with Plaid Cymru, even the Liberals were always known as the home rule party what with Welshman Lloyd George and their position on Ireland then the Welsh indy position will be on/in play even accounting for immigration into Wales from England.

Only 45% voted for the SNP IN Scotland the same since the last independence referendum

Scotland only had 45% for the SNP. The other 55% are happy in the UK. In NI although the Republicans got 9 seats as opposed to 8 for the unionist the Republicans only had 37% against the unionist 43%.

45% might be enough for Scotland. Only 48% voted for the Brexit supporting parties in the general election, but that will likely happen in the next few weeks.
