Enjoy pal, the town is a shyte hole tho.
It is, but we're not going for the scenery or the culture. German Jacks coming over so a good chance to see them again before I'm over there end of January. It'll be Wetherspoons for breakfast, Bricklayers Arms then the game. A few beers after and out of there the following morning.

Went to a pub called The Inkerman, a short walk from the ground some years ago. It was an Irish pub. When we went to the bar the barman said "We don't serve English people here" My bro-in-law said "Who are you calling f***ing English? We are Welsh". Pints were pulled, and we were given a really good welcome there. The juke box only featured Irish music, and there was a collection box with the words 'For The Cause' written on it. Lovely couple of hours.

Last time I went there, we got stuffed 3-0 and Paul Walsh scored a hattrick. Anyone any idea when that would have been? I think it may have been early 80s as for some reason, I seem to recall I was still limping from a serious ankle ligament injury sustained playing footy some months earlier from which I never really recovered as I was already about 30 at the time.

Funnily enough this game was featured on "The Big Match Revisited" on BT Sport a few weeks ago.
We were very much on the slide at the time with Gary Richards playing left back (says it all)
Here you go fella, Enjoy ðŸ‘

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

Brynpill will be along shortly calling for you to be banned for enjoying yourself in an Irish club mind ...

Just booked up, anyone got any suggestions for parking. Few NCP type places 15 min walk, or a mate who has suggested parking at Harpenden train station, 10 minutes by train and 10 minute walk and trains every 10 minutes.
