It seems to me that Brexit sounds the final bell for the 'Left wing' in this country.
They have deserted their principles, deserted their voters, deserted democracy, deserted the real world (evident in Parliament right now as they prefer to exist in their bubble, enjoying the platform and the sound of their own voices...pretending they haven't got to face the public)
My questions for you to discuss; Will the Labour Party be destroyed at the coming election? Will they continue to be the opposition? When are we likely to see a left-wing government in this country again?
This fella seems to have summed it up as well as anyone...

The left died in this country in 1983. The Berlin wall came down in 1989. The USSR collapsed in 1991. Hong Kong was passed to the China in 1997 and stayed capitalist.
This post is 30 odd years out of date.
NuLabour, Conservatives, Lib-Dems, Brexit party, UKIP etc are all right wing, the state broadcaster is right wing, most of the national newspapers are right wing and the EU is right wing.

Tories did indeed bring in PFI under Major. It was however, not that widely used. PFI exploded under Labour... then less deals were brought in when Tories back in power.
You'll never grasp it will you?

Cross party Remainees likely to back him as interim PM to ask EU for an extension.
I don’t think Corbyn would be an electable position to the masses but you never know. In terms of Brexit and stopping the no deal I’d have thought Grieve or Clarke would draw a larger cross section of support. I think Clarke would relish it.

If it’s just a temporary PM to keep us in the EU at all costs then call a GE surely it doesn’t matter who it is.

It won’t be “at all costs” it would be pending the outcome of an election of referendum.
Exactly so why does it matter who it is? All this “I won’t support Corbyn it has to be Clarke” nonsense is pointless if all the person needs to do is extend, call an election and dismiss parliament.

There's a degree of trust in it though. Until calling the election and getting that through, whoever acts as PM has full PM power and access.
EDIT: If it did happen, then it has to be someone everyone can trust. Clarke would be a safe pair of hands, standing down next election anyway.
