Raining cats and dogs it was. George Smith scored a 5th goal for us at the death but it was disallowed.

Loved George Smith. Always gave his all. I thought that it was Les Chappell whose goal was disallowed. It's been over 40 years so maybe my memory isn't so clear.

Yes it was a long time ago. Maybe Chappell got deflection on it, I know Smith took the shot. His hair was very distinctive, like a blonde 'Lloyd' out of dumb and dumber.

Another great memory was the 8-0 win over Hartlepool 1 season later and coincidentally George Smith was playing against us that day.

Its just a ride.

How far back should we go? I have to go fairly recent.
Lots of happy memories supporting the team since the late 60s.
For me it has to be the play off final against Reading for elation and Valenciia away for sheer pleasure.
I suspect Michu's brace at Arsenal would have been in the mix had I been there.
Best ever football at the highest level under ML. I doubt I will ever see the likes again.....

Darren Pratley's shot from the halfway line slowly bouncing into the net. Could feel the stadium shaking.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Torquay away with my brother and his mates, the whole thing was so memorable.

OK I've changed it.

Qpr 1-3 Swans. I remember it like it was yesterday, when in fact, it was a few days earlier.

Like the ones people have already said and many many more to pick.

Maybe away from a game I could say Preston away in our promotion to the old First Division, it was on the way back from the game on the M6 seeing the signs for Manchester and Liverpool and knowing that next season we would be in among the big boys.

Seeing the look on my 12 yr old lads face when we beat Reading at Wembley. It was a realisation that I could take him to all the Big grounds I went to when I was a teenager.

Unusual one for me

The ref’s final whistle at Sheffield Wednesday vs Swindon 1979. I was stuck in Yorkshire and if Wednesday won (they were given no chance before the game) we ‘just’ needed to beat Chesterfield at home to go up. Our kick off was half hour later and I assumed we’d win easily (yeah....after supporting us for so many years before too...).

Swindon hit the woodwork 5 times and had 500 corners. It was like the Alamo. But somehow Wednesday won 2:1. Some of their fans were celebrating with us like they’d gone up when we heard the final score from the Vetch. Been fond of them ever since.

Too many moments along those journeys, and after arrival, to mention.

No particular order...
1. Winning at Wembley v Reading
2. Thomas Scoring the 4th Goal v Hull to save us from you know what...
3. Jimmy Gilligan’s Goal v Spurs
4. Beating Sheffield United 3-0 in the FA Cup.
5. Beating Bury 1-0 to get promotion.
6. Pratley scoring v Forest
7. Beating Cardiff Anytime but especially in the Autoglass Trophy in 1994 live on Sky Sports. 13,500 crowd, 1,500 Jacks (including me) Martin Hayes and Andrew Legg. I was soaked...
8. My first game in 1984 v Hull City.
9. Saving a penalty in the half time schools penalty competition in the match v Peterborough.
10. Any of the Premier League wins...

Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.
