I only need needless booking for Henderson, mcnulty dispossessed and Hill making tactical changes for full house! Thought scunny were a good price at 2/1

I thought they were massive odds considering we never do anything there too, any chance of Hendo at right back round about now that could work a treat?

Match thread: Scunthorpe away on 15:33 - Sep 8 with 2659 views | fitzochris | Having watched another set piece shambles, I really think it’s time someone asked about what we do in training. How frequently we work on certain things, the merits of boxing, how long we spend looking at the opposition etc.

He can’t like it that much, because he had the opportunity with Clough.

Match thread: Scunthorpe away on 15:41 - Sep 8 with 2447 views | 49thseason | Maybe its just Canavan he likes to send off, but given we havent won a league game with him in charge....P7 before today, D4 L3

Match thread: Scunthorpe away on 15:43 - Sep 8 with 2429 views | 442Dale | Quite how we can moan about not getting free kicks while giving away needless ones all afternoon is hard to work out. Also, because Man U wore pink v Burnley’s claret was that noticed by someone and thought we could do the same? That Utd’s version is so light it created no issues at all wasn’t taken into consideration.

Its staggering how shit we STILL are at defending simple routine balls into the box,we dont need to watch any team specifically to know we will need to defend several balls into our box, even more amazing considering Hilly and what position he played.

My reference to opposition briefing is not specific to set pieces. Our all round play has been pretty disjointed this season with players frequently looking unsure or ponderous. Makes me wonder if there has been a major change to training.

I think KH and defence is a bit like how mechanics always seem to have crappy cars.

Yes no problem I took it that way, just find it amazing how such a simple and basic part of every single game and we have struggled with it for what seems like forever, don't suppose it helps chopping and changing players so often though either not to mention keepers
Match thread: Scunthorpe away on 15:52 - Sep 8 with 2201 views | funkkk | Rubbish, but we've had a few half chances and maybe could have had a penalty. A goal before half time would have given us a chance. Not so sure now, especially with our best player off.

Totally. It’s such a routine part of the game, it amazes me that we’re so inept, too. It’s as if Hill thinks that as long as we pass the ball about we don’t need to worry about such things. Problem is, we give away so many daft fouls in dangerous areas, we clearly do need to worry. So, again, Christ only knows what we do on the training pitch. I hear we do boxing on a Wednesday and nothing else - and Hill isn’t even present. There have been a few grumbles about it, too.
