Used to be the old Toby Carvery. Popped in today and enjoyed. It's pricey , very pricey but really good quality. There's also a fixed price menu that is pretty good value. There's also fish dishes as well.
Not sure how often I'd pop in but worth a visit especially if like me you aren't sure of the next time you'll be in that area.
Max, £4.75 a bottle of Ghostship!!!!!

About 6000 miles out.
Welsh Black cattle may be 6000 miles away, but Welsh Black Beef can't be labelled as such if it comes from elsewhere as it has protected geographic status under the EU. In the same way as Feta is protected, champagne etc etc.
Obviously, that protection may now disappear and our local farmers will lose out.

Cornish Pastie.
Is that protected too? I think Caerphilly cheese has just won it as well.
These protections are brilliant for smaller producers and for rural communities. Because otherwise everyone would end up losing out to the enormous commercial farming operations with tens of thousands of acres. And the food quality would suffer as we'd all be eating Caerphilly type cheese from God knows where and the traditional producers would be gone.

Yes indeed. You wont find a Cornish Pastie in Greggs (other savoury shops are available). You'll find a beef and vegetable pasty.

Yes,many are turning away from steaks.
Loaded with growth hormones and all kinds of chemicals...not healthy.
Most dangerous thing about steak (and lots of foods actually) is that people tend to overcook them. Over cooked/burnt foods are full of carcinogens, you’re virtually eating smoke. You should eat your steak the way nature intended, nice and pink and oozing with blood. Mouth is watering now.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
Davies bakery shops around Swansea all list and sell a Cornish Pasty. But all are made at the bottom of Townhill. I will leave the boring Coonts to tell us legalities of that.
