Your Vetchfield routine 17:51 - Oct 7 with 6822 views

I was born in 1987 and started going to the Vetch around 1990...so by the time the Vetch closed, I was about 17 and despite going with mates many, many times, I was slightly too young to go out on the razz properly.

I thought it would be good and interesting on this 'off weekend' for people to share their routines, what time you'd get into town for a 3pm kickoff, where you'd go before the game, what you would do after the game win or loss, what time you'd end up getting in.

I'm sure there's some interesting stories!

The Big Match Day Out to watch the Swans at the Vetch

(Early matches Breakfast in Gorseinon)
12pm Basket meal in the Kings, can of Special Vat (£1 - £1.20) or Old English (£1)
1pm Taxi Into Town or 111/110/112 service bus to the Potter's Wheel or the Garibaldi (£1 can of Bow or Carling standing in the lane).
Alternative 1.20pm down to the Swansea Jack and watch the Away Supporters arrive
In the small front beer patio.
2.55pm Leave the Potter's Wheel or 2.57pm leave the Lane by the Gari...
2.59pm walk into the ground and slip down the front to get over to the right hand side because of the new crash barriers and stewarding...
3.41 - Pint in the Mel Nurse or from the outside bar... Burger from the van, cowin' lush
4.47 - Any pub with a TV for the results (Builders, Clarence, Singleton, the Swansea Jack)
6pm A) Back to Kingsbridge or Gorseinon for a few more beers
B) Down to Wind Street (when that became popular)
C) Hit the Kingsway for a few in the Hanbury, O'Neils, etc

10pm A) Home
B) Central Park, Jumping Jack's, Ritzy, Oceana, etc

1am, 2am, etc Steak By Night or a Curry
