Tyler Reid on 18:10 - Feb 5 with 2756 views | A_Fans_Dad | The problem for the under 23s is that unless they train and occasionally play with the senior team they are never going to be good enough. Clement doesn't seem to want to play them.

Of course he doesn't. We are in the thick of a relegation scrap and they are untried youngsters. There is a time and a place to give youth a chance.
Tyler Reid on 18:18 - Feb 5 with 2712 views | Pegojack | Only seen Tyler Reid once, in the Coventry cup game, but based on that showing, I wouldn't say he's ready to step up to Premier League level. League Two or even One, yes, possibly.
Tyler Reid on 18:43 - Feb 5 with 2642 views | jruss1 | Correct. Seen him play 3 times and he's not good enough. Not even close. Rangel should play.

If we're winning 3-0 in a game I'd bring on Amat for Cork at the front of the defence. Reckon he could grow into the defensive midfielder role.

Is the correct and only answer. Has to be Angel next weekend. Kyle is more out of his depth than the Titanic The problem with the RB position isn't a new problem Nearly everyone on here has been clamouring for a new RB for the last few windows, so Angel can drop to being a good back up (purely because of his age). And our superb DoF would rather sell and loan players out to reduce the wage bill than get players that we are desperate for in. The snidey, sneaky sell out b'stards are getting far too easy a ride, for the anxiety, stress and heartbreak they have caused us all this season, because of what they've done to our beloved club. At least a few of the Palace fans showed a bit of spirit yesterday, as horrible as that lot are.

Sorry but I have to disagree. No way on earth should Rangel start next week unless Naughton is injured. We'd get murdered by leicesters pace if that happened. I accept 100% that Rangel is far superior in the football intelligence dept. But like Naughton he too frequently switches off. On top of that he gets caught out of position far too often by over committing going forward and not being able to get back. Combine that with the pace of a slug and it's a solid NO from me.... Sorry, Rangel has been a great servant to us over the years, but every dog has their day and he's had his.....

Tyler Reid on 21:16 - Feb 5 with 2265 views | macthejack | Absolutely no-where near good enough yet. I've never been Naughton's biggest fan and I'm furious with him today but he can and has played better than this in the past. Maybe he could do with a stint on the bench and I would replace him in the summer whatever league we're in but some criticism has been a little OTT.

Tyler Reid on 17:56 - Feb 5 by Kilkennyjack | Why did we sign Reid then ? Seems a strange one, but i go with your views. Rangel next week for me. |
Because Reid was 18 and had only played a handful of u21 fixtures, while Connor Roberts was 20 and had a full, award-winning season of senior league football to his name. Reid wasn't signed as competition for Roberts, he's two years behind on the production line.

Unless there's people at the club pushing for the youngsters to get involved in the senior side I'd imagine it's hard for a new manager to come in and feel comfortable giving them that chance (and we know the players our backroom staff tend to endorse... or used to). A lot of the u23s squad have spent time training with the first team over the last 12 months or so, and I assume many still do, so Clement will hopefully get a good look at them over time. He's been pretty shred in his selections so far, we can afford to have some faith that he knows what he's doing.

Tyler Reid on 16:47 - Feb 5 by union_jack | Lesser of 2 evils. I know little about Tyler Reid but what I do know is he hasn't played at PL level and is unlikely to handle the pressure of a relegation battle. |
Neither can Naughton by the looks of things, the difference is we know for a fact Naughton is poor.

Connor Roberts, Dan James, Ollie McBurnie, Adam King, Joe Rodon, Josh Sheehan, Liam Shephard etc. have all been involved in first team training sessions/pre-season camps before. Are they involved regularly/currently idk, I haven't watched those training music videos they put out in a fair while.
Tyler Reid on 19:52 - Feb 6 with 1978 views | grabsplatter | I couldn't comment on Roberts but having seen Reid a number of times I'd say definitely not.
Tyler Reid on 00:07 - Feb 7 with 1919 views | dameedna | Olsson made two mistakes first game. Baston should have kept the ball up front. Fab should have held on. Ref made a mistake earlier. Football is about mimimising mistakes and the system we have played under Clement predominantly relies on the opposition making mistakes. I thought Rangel was lucky not to give away a penalty in the area last game. Naughton is a good player for us.
