So, a week or so after the Trust approach the club regarding former Directors still hanging around the club (my words, not theirs) , the club go and re-appoint one of them as a Director.
It feels to me like the Yanks are taking the p*ss

Didn't a Tory mp in Bristol do something similar with his property tycoon brother become a director and leave his post in the same day as it was a loophole with huge financial gains on property I believe it was. (Wish I could remember his name) it wasn't illegal but it was pretty dodgy. Not that I'm suggesting anything illegal has or is taking place at Swansea city. Personally I wouldn't want mr Dineen running my bath let alone the commercial department of a multi million pound business. The reality is the structure of the club has totally changed to what it was 10-15 yrs ago,we are a premier league outfit with facilities to match,it,ll never go back to what it was in the Vetch days.
We want our club back,what does that actually mean ?,we,ll never be in a position to buy the club back,the Americans aren't going to just walk away after investing so much.
Surely its far more likely different owners would take over,if they decided to sell. | | | |

No, it's probably very personally humiliating for Dineen, but it's out of his control. The people who should be most embarrassed though are Levien, Kaplan, Pearlman, and the entire Board.
I'll go ahead and say it, like everyone else: this club looks like a low-rent clown show lately. Things are obviously a little disorganised on the pitch, but it aint nothing compared to what appears to be happening behind the scenes.

I agree that we want our club back is unlikely in the short-mid term due to the amount of money that has been spent acquiring shares. Longer term will depend on the Americans exit strategy and what there is left to sell at that stage. We want the greedy b@stards who have placed us in this position out of the club is more achievable in the short term.
As for a premier league outfit - I have to disagree. We are currently playing in the premier league (unless there is a major turnaround we won't be playing in it next season) and don't look like a premier league outfit on the pitch.
The last thing we are off the pitch is premier league - a basket case, embarrassment or example of how not to run a football club would be closer to the truth. You would think that we had been studying the situations at Blackpool or Blackburn. Down to the greedy b@stards again along with the clueless tw@ts they sold to. As for the facilities - those we own are assets that can be disposed if an appropriate bid came in while any rented/lease arrangements can be terminated.
Wanting Dineen back on the board seems surreal. What did he bring to the table before the sell out? Premier league experience! what a fecking pathetic thing to say, unless it is expanded to say what they believe he has experience of that is now necessary. The PR from the majority owners is arrogant in the extreme and appears hell bent on alienating supporters. A strange strategy to say the least.
As for the Americans I agree that they aren't going to simply walk away, it's what they will do to the club before they walk away that concerns supporters.

The Trust announced the answer they got
"The Supporters Trust was yesterday surprised to note that, according to Companies House records, Leigh Dineen had been reappointed as a Director of the football club.
However, after discussions overnight between the Supporters Trust and the new majority owners, it was identified that the appointment was made without approval and has now been removed. It has been agreed that the issue of Leigh Dineen’s position at the club would be discussed at next month’s board meeting, which our Supporters Director will be attending."
Now is that an admin error - maybe yes as someone jumped the gun.
