Just tried to get a half season ticket at 12:45, but apparently after 12 they can't do them on the match day, despite there being 5 in the office, one of which was serving me, another on a computer and the other 3 having what appeared to be a good old chit chat. I'm over here today visiting family so they did offer to post it for £5. Wound me up so I left it
How many others will be around today for the game that don't normally attend and may think it's a good offer only to find you can't buy one.
I appreciate its going to get to a busy time for them but they must be able to do something better than sorry can't sell you one so much before kick off. |
I experienced the same problem, went to the ticket office and was told can't process them after 12 on a match day. I explained that I live out of town, and that I only visit on match days, all I got was sorry you'll have to come back. Now what really makes my pi$$ boil about it is, there were 4 of them in the office, no queue and no other options were given to me, it sort of defies belief really.

They wanted the main stand because they're not regulars and didn't want to be in the middle of chanting etc.
The website just wouldn't work for them, even after my nephew checked it out (i won't bore you with what he does for a living, but it involves satellites)
They gave up, not risking turning up on the day in case it was sold out
That's about it. £44 and good will lost to the club. Repeated time and again among different families, and you choose to take the piss: "This country, eh?" | |

First game of the season I wanted to get 2 of the free (£10) tickets, was told sorry you'll have to pay for the kids on the gate today even though they took my cash for the season tickets and didnt have time to process them in the two and a half hours before kick off.
Should have learned from that I guess but the time I went on boxing day was the only time i could get there while I was over.
I walked away on boxing day with the intention of not getting one, paying for individual games and I'd have probably made 2 or 3 at best. My lad has changed my mind and is getting a half season ticket for me so looks like I will be there for a lot more now.
