Williams will go down in history as one of SCFC's greatest ever players/signings whom provided absolutely mega-fantastic value for money. I bear in mind what SCFC paid for him and what was received with services on the pitch and financially in return upon his departure.
Hearing the likes of Monk being hailed as a club 'legend' makes an absolute mockery of that word. It would be an absolute insult to give Monk (and some others) equal status!
It's comparative though. Football wise, Monk wasn't good enough for the PL. He did, however, captain us through the leagues and was an absolute stalwart on the pitch.
James Thomas is thought of as a legend by some, so is Roger.
He rightly won't be remembered like those two though, he arguably did a lot more on the pitch, but his managerial spell put paid to that.
Leon is definitely a legend. I'd even add Rangel and potentially Beaker to that list too.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
Can't put Ash and Monks together as players even - Ash is a world class player and Monks never was.
Deadful manager Monk - tried to change our famous style (for no reason ?) and it would have seen us relegated if the club did not act. Seems like he also rejected all offers of help.
"....with relatively little damage to your own reputation"
Except for the damage done to his reputation for the poor choice he made of the club to go to.
He's a young manager who got sacked from his first job. 70% of first time managers never get the chance to manage again after being fired. He had to get back in the game and probably decided the potential rewards of doing well at Leeds outweighed the risks. That's assuming they weren't the only offer on the table.
If it all goes tits up most will point the finger at Cellino (with plenty of justification) and absolve Garry of blame. He'd come off worse if he'd gone to a tidy club and f*cked things up again like he did here.

All true. But he has been allowed to bring his chosen coaches and signed a number of players, he's had more resources than many Championship managers could hope for and look at the results so far. He's taken a formula that failed with us and repeated it. That's rank stupid and more than a bit arrogant. I'm not a Monk hater just amazed that he's gone in there and apparently re applied a formula that clearly does not work. Btw they signed another defender today http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37106330
If you can fill the unforgiving minute.

We know that because we've seen it before. To the football supporting world at large he's still seen as a talented young manager who we rashly sacked before giving him time.

Skippy used the word 'stupid' ......
I assume he thought our best ever PL finish was a good enough reason. We were grinding out results and it is, ultimately, a results game. So I can see why he persisted with a negative approach. Horrible to watch mind, and in hindsight it looks like he's got little to offer. Shame. He needed a more stable club than Leeds to re-launch his fledgling career.

He's had 4 games with a brand new squad.
Hardly proven that whatever is doing is "failed".
What he did with our squad was stupid, as the players obviously didn't buy into the change of style from our DNA.
But Leeds have had no fixed style to alter, as they change managers and players like underpants.
So until the owner sticks with a manager and he can impose a style, the players will never know what style they are supposed to be playing. They just go from confusion to confusion.
He's also managing in a division he's not seen for a while, or managed in.
4 games is not enough to judge.
It's was surprise and disappointment though, that he lost the Swansea Way.
It's fairly simple.. he's conceded 8 goals in 4 games.. it's an obvious organisation issue.. players obviously not got a clue what they're doing..
They're up against Sheffield Wednesday away next.. I have seen Leeds play twice this season.. Monk goes on about identity and delusional phrases.. but he hasn't even got a structure to implement an identity yet..
Bamba has been poor.. disorganised. Roofe doesn't track back Wood doesn't do much up top. Viera is too open.
You start off with the imperative clean sheet rhetoric.. it's paramount that a clean sheet is a priority..
The whole back four can speak English... communication is essential in organisation and clean sheets.. Two DMs or holders in the middle are essential.. you then have Sacko, Dallas and Antonsson who are work horses in the final third.. This will stop Sheffield Wednesday building up attacks.
The breakaway opportunities will be many.. due to Sheffield Wednesday being a disorganised wreck..
Hernandez, Dallas, and Bridcutt are fantastic on the break.. and all have a fantastic passing range.. With the pace of Sacko, and Antonsson.. With Viera, Mowatt, Roofe waiting in the wings to keep up the workrate.. you could nick a goal..
Monk has been chopping and changing his team.. With no plan or clue on his players strengths.. He just seems out of his depth.. He talks a load of horse crap on times.. This 'indentity' and 'desire' nonsense he spouts is embarrassing..
he's four games in with a new set of faces.. He hasn't even implemented a structure yet, never mind an 'identity'.. and putting more pressure on his players with this 'killing' on the football field.. it's only heading one way..
implement a structure clean sheet a priority bench players who don't fit the structure of a particular game, or not performing to the structure you want to implement.
After a structure has been created that works.. that is your identity.
And I'm just a jobless bloke an all.. management in all walks of life is theoretically the same.. but the inexperience of Monk so far has been unbelievable.. especially with the nonsense he's spouting.
You need clean sheets Garry.. that's what successful Championship sides implement.. and new teams aspire towards.. It should all be about the clean sheet on Saturday.
The awkward moment when a Welsh Club become the Champions of England.. shh
The Swansea Way.. To upset the odds.

The Tapas waiter had a plan to score more than you concede. Maybe this is the elusive plan B. 11 defenders on the pitch and hope you can nick a goal
If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.
No. Sad. a bit like when a mate takes to drink or something. The only consolation is that it's Leeds.
