COULD OUR BOARD 09:19 - Jan 27 with 5601 viewsswansealad69

Actually be concidering doing a deal for ayew?
I'm quietly confident he will still be here but who thinks we would do a deal with Sunderland
If they do then it's a massive kick in the teeth for fans players and club and after all the good that come from the win Sunday's I'll survey be a massive let down
Borini may well get goals in the championship but won't in the prem as his record shows
As I said realy can't see our board doing this but if they do then it's clear they happy to go back to the championship and all ready preparing to do so.

Allowing Ayew to go to Sunderland of all clubs is simply mad and would send "negative" signals to some like me. We vce sold and made a profit of JJS yet not replaced him.

We ve nobbed off TABANOU so no cover for TAYLOR.

Now ,this to me is worthy of criticism

Spot on.

£20m isn't that much, given our outgoings on his contract and the fact he would be due all monies as he hasn't asked for a move. We'd do well to keep half of any of that fee if we sold him. Could we really get a player of Ayew's quality for 9 - 10m? Not to mention the interminable stupidity of strengthening a rival.

We would have to be in a fire sale level financial crisis to let Ayew go now, to a relegation rival or anyone else. I could see the logic if it meant freeing up the money to bring Bony back, or sign a striker of his calibre, but I can't see a player like that signing for us permanently anyway.

I'm pretty sure Ayew will see the season out with us. The summer may be a different matter, as top players do see us as a stepping stone and I'm sure he will have done enough to attract hefty bids from big clubs.

Sunderland now though, even if we were prepared to sell him, why would he want to go there?More likely to get relegated than us and not much of a step up.

I agree.
The trust have made some sort of statement regards this, the flaw is though that he knew them all before his appointment. Hence neutralising this statement to some.

He's not going unless Sunderland bring their silly money with them.

Fat Frank wasn't cover for Neil at all and the sooner we got shot of Jonjo the better. We will need cover, especially in the midfield but it's not like we've lost integral squad members this window. Still, its going to be a sweat on Deadline Day.

We are told much is going on behind the scenes.

Problem is that our end result is poor, it has always been in JANUARY so fans ask questions. Its not heresy and you don't need to attend game to offer an opinion.

It seems ,if we are busy, then we re pretty inept or naïve.

IF WE ARE NOT ALWAYS LOOKING TO STRENGHTEN OUR TEAM, then that is a separate issue.

I am of the opinion we wont get anyone in- which is shocking really.

Selling JJS was fine but ffs have him replaced by a player ready to go,like NAISMITH , who will be a great buy for Norwich.

It could be the case Hue is looking to Frank to coach and motivate Gomis, which is possible.

Naismith did the square root of feck all yesterday, apart from foul our players, and bitch and moan at the ref.

Why oh why didn't our board spend 20 million in the window to guarantee our Premier league survival like Norwich?

Think how much better we could have been if we'd spent >£100m this season like Newcastle

Agreed, but what's done is done. Let's hope the board don't make the same stupid mistakes again and adopt a Laudrup-esqe transfer policy over the Garry Monk model
