Worried & For good reason.. 22:00 - Jan 15 with 2850 viewsOzzie

Points I would like to share:

Huw not keen on Naismith, doesn't trust Martinez and so won't happen.
We are able to bring in Doumbia asap but the board have made no move to do so even though it's our side which is delaying it.
Bony is having a terrible time at Man City and would love to come back. We can only have Bony or Doumbia as we have to sell more players first!!
De Guzman deal is pretty much done, even though he is injured and will need a couple of months to get match fit.
Sinclair deal again looks likely and will continue the regurgitation of previous players.

You can take or leave the above statements but I felt compelled to voice my frustration with the current situation after what I have heard in the last few weeks surrounding new transfers.

I have followed the club for the last 22 years and have always supported Huw and the current board but I just cannot understand the logic of the decisions/rationale I am hearing!
No urgency to get anyone in, a reluctance if anything and worst of all no communication to the fans to give any reassurance that changes will happen where possible.

I/we can only hope that Huw does pull his finger out but I am not so hopeful as I once was from what I have recently been told from inside the club.

I feel so sorry for Alan Curtis and feel his love and commitment for the club has put him in a very difficult situation which is drastically getting worse for each week that passes. Worse still, is that decisions and/or lack of action is out of his control.

I sincerely hope I am proved wrong but regardless of how poor the ref was on Wednesday, our squad is simply not good enough to comfortably beat the relegation drop.

All being said, regardless of the outcome of this season, I'll be there next year to support us as I will the following year and the year after that, and the year after that!

STID.

"Bony is having a terrible time at Man City and would love to come back."

How do you know he would love to come back?

He's made it clear through the official sources by all accounts.

He was loved by all staff at the club including the players and he's had the polar opposite at City so would love to come back to where he was loved and play regularly.

I'm sorry you can't take this at face value, I don't get anything personally out of posting 'crap' and if you look at my activity you'll see that I'm hardly after any attention.

But this is after all, a public forum and I am communicating what I know in the only relevant place I know!

Don't know what a ITK is but if you can judge I know F all you must know exactly what is happening then to make that judgement.

If that's the case, please enlighten myself and everyone else as to what's EXACTLY happening as you seem supremely confident that I do not.

Even if that is true (& for me that's a big IF) he's under contract & with Citeh having only one other top level striker and still in 4 competitions they are not likely to let him go at least until they get a replacement in - if there is any chance of Bony it will be late in the window & how long can the board wait to see if that becomes an option, they are getting slaughtered already.

I've heard bony wants to come back but as someone stated, how do we really know he wants to? I heard Sinclair isn't coming back, and I think we've all seen the photo of doumbia on the private plane but doesn't necessarily mean he's in his way to us, I doubt we'd get both wilf and him!

You are right, probably wouldn't without a replacement but if there's ever a team who can get a replacement in its City.

They still owe us 2/3 of the sum agreed for Bony so its a viable posibility for us as we can write off the remaining fee.

I know this is wooly but from what I know, I don't think there's any urgency for signing anyone that the fans will be happy with until late in the window anyway.

What have you been told by sources from inside the club then and what are the decisions /rationale you're hearing? seeing as you've mentioned them, just say what they are.

Without mentioning names I've just told you what I know.

Don't know the rationale behind the decisions and neither does source, hence why I'm posting as I'm genuinely worried for the rest of the season as I think we're going to be disappointed at the end of this window.

Difficult really, how long would you guys wait on seeing if Bony became available? Or would you just sign Doumbia? We can definitely only afford one. Bony is undoubtedly frustrated and the fans clearly don't want him, manager doesn't seem to rate him. Doesn't suit their style of play either. Think they would happily sell if a replacement was found.
