Many allegations have been made under the cloak of parliamentary privilege for centuries. To those who say Watson's motivations are political - you may be right. Similarly though, this would have been much less of a story among the press and Tory supporters in general if he wasn't now deputy leader of the Labour Party. We certainly wouldn't have a multi page thread on here.
And yes I do believe that Watson should apologise unequivocally and in full for repeating the alleged victim's words in the way he did.
