The £2m price tag is a loan fee not a transfer fee...

For £2m loan fee and another £1m in wages with no asset at the end of it means it's a 'no' from me.

There's a bit of confusion around the fee all round with the reports on Jenkinson - some suggest Sunderland want a loan deal but others say Arsenal will only consider a permanent move away

the £2m has been quoted in two places - one as a loan fee and one as a transfer fee

£2 million is a loan fee. They wanted £12 million from west ham for a transfer.

Er, yes please. With bells on. If a deal can be done then he'd be a great addition.

Sounds more plausible. If he was actually available to buy at £2m it would be a no brainer.

Wouldn't £12mill be a no-brainer as well? Seems a lot for an ex loanee to me.

We will need another RB in a year or two but it's not a pressing need.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Not for me. It would be a big chunk to spend on someone who wouldn't necessarily be first choice in a position we have reasonable cover in. At £2m it would be worth the gamble.

He'd walk into our team though. That position isn't a priority, but if we get the chance to strengthen without compromising other needs then I'd take it.

It's probably bollox anyway.

Good player but I'll always love him for his part in our win at the Emirates in 2012 ... From 1 min 8 secs onwards.

If we even thought about spending £12m on a right back when we have a perfectly tidy one already (plus Rangel as cover), then somebody needs shooting.

That sort of money needs reserving for key positions as 9 an 10. £12m for a right back, lol!

"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."

Yep. Its barmy.

To put it into context, we've picked up Ayew and Gomis on frees and paying them C.80k a week. Over a 4 year deal thats about £16m.

A deal for Jenkinson which is as above will be a £12m outlay, but with that comes a £12m players wages (and the fact hes an Arsenal player) which is a minimum £60k a week (im rounding down), which over a similar 4 year deal is £12.5m. So he would cost C.25m.. for Carl Jenkinson? Umm, no thanks.

So yep, no brainer!
