Is it just me or my imagination but for some reason this impending relegation seems to be the worst of the lot. Yes I know we're not down yet but I've been through relegation's before as I suspect most of you have but this one just seems to be bloody awful and to my mind the worst of the lot by far. I'm not too sure about us bringing anybody else In on the Management side of things, 'whoever we've brought in these last few years has ultimately failed as are the current crop. Our last home win was December 20th last year. Dear me this is tough.

For me there is more a sense of hopelessness this time around. I really didn't like the Hughes/Redknapp relegation team and I don't feel that way towards this lot. But then I welcomed a clear out, was kind of hopeful and optimistic.
Now it's different. We will be losing some players I quite like; Austin, Fer, Isla, Vargas, Phillips. And the championship is a right slog.
Maybe it's just that I'm so weary with getting beat every week, which has been incessant for three of the last four seasons. With the odd one out offering very little entertainment as a relief.
Because the players are average and the football is dire. With the amount of investment it should have been so much better but we re-signed the same old crap.

Its interesting to get other peoples opinions. At the start of this season you'd watch us play and after say the first 8 games or so you'd pretty much get an Idea of how the season was going to pan out, in games you could and probably should take positives from players performances even from defeats but to me and unless I've got my figures wrong from day one I've never really felt comfortable or confident that we were going to have a good season and its been a hard slog. Like I say I've found it tough for some reason Its been tough all season the worst I've known.

The crushing inevitability of it. The dire football. Phil Jagielka heading the ball away time after time like some kind of awful long ball groundhog day. The ridiculous way after all these years, all the money spent, all the kebabs and late nights, Adel Taarabt is still the best player at this football club.
The awful, limp, useless body language of Junior Hoilett - because having one SWP leaching millions of £££ off this football club wasn't enough for us. The stupid way the 15 year old behind me stream of conciousnessly commentates on every second of the match in a football illiterate way (this afternoon he screamed 'SHOOT' even when Matt Phillips picked up the ball in our penalty area).
Everything that Tony Fernandes says and does.
The fact that our best hope for the future would be begging Big Sam to take over in the summer.
The way that everything, every detail, large and small about this football club just makes me want to scream before I remember its not worth screaming about because its how its been for almost as long as I can remember now.
It is worse this time definitely. Worse because its happened before. And because its happened before I find that I don't even care about it in the way I used to. And thats not good is it? The not caring part.

Because we've made the same mistakes as last time. Inexcusable.
Your'e probably right, the same old mistakes Its like we haven't been here before!!! Making mistakes is one thing, not learning from them or cocking it up again is as you say inexcusable.
My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.
Same reasons for me as other posts,no learning from previous mistakes but my big worry is that I just don,t seem to care as much any more,I just want this season to be over.

Growing weary of the club making the same mistakes, no confidence in the players, manager and chairman. The unknown fear of what will happen after relegation due to a huge debt and FFP.

Also knowing there's no way on Gods green earth we're coming back from this one. Last season we got lucky, look at all the other teams who have gone down previously. They're mainly struggling and our squad will be paper thin come the summer. On the bright side however some of the garbage will be gone including the smameful toilet who is trying to challenge SWP for the worst pro we ever signed. As said we will be losing all our decent players meaning we need to get someone in who knows wtf they're doing. TF certainly doesn't and will predictably lead us into another expensive bs failure if he persists in impersonating a football chairman. For the long term future it needs ripping up and starting again.

We all know that the finances are dire. We're likely to lose most of the players who would give us a chance of coming back up and we are no further forward off the pitch than we were 4 years ago.
Just send me directions to Fleetwood, Gillingham and Rochdale.

The one thing I would say though is we were a far worse team coming up than last time. I mean in all honesty we got lucky at Wembley after a dire second half of the season playing a snowball and we got up on the coat tails of one player again.
To be fair we've not spunked the levels of money this time, chasing the dream. We were the worst team coming up and we are the worst team going down. I think what makes this one all the more painful is the thought of what we will have left in the championship. No manager, No forwards at all ( assuming Bobby retires, Charlie goes Vargas not bought) we will be down at least 2 more midfielders and a few defenders. No more Adel.
Losing Charlie and Adel at the same time feels as a fan like a sucker punch.
We have no exciting youth prospect currently (sorry Furlong looks very league one at best at the moment - think of Walker at the same age).
All this and the FFP looming over our heads.
I think we know in our heart of hearts next season is another relegation battle (having said that we thought last year would be same)
So we are playing out the end game here with no hope and tomorrow looking very very uncertain. In all honesty turning on the board is probably not going to help, if the decision has been taken to return to eighties / nineties values then its going to take time and nothing is going to change overnight. Forcing them out with the debt as it is likely to bring about the demise of the club, have we ever been run well or is it all mythical. Not easy to take a small london club with a decrepit stadium and maintain them as a premier league team. Only happened with Al Farads money and Fulham before and in a slightly different era and they bought there way there to

In the last few games we really can't catch a break - sucker punch goals conceded against run of play, penalty decisions either way going against us, injuries etc. Not for a minute blaming it all on luck, but it does make you feel hopeless.
But mainly I think it's just all been going on too long. Last enjoyable season was Warnock's promotion, and that came after 5 years (at least) or so of absolute sh*te. In my early memories of Rangers we had some terrible seasons but each new one began with a clean sheet, and thinking "this could be our year". That gets harder to think as cr*p season follows cr*p season, and even harder when you can see how tough the next year is going to be. Even after the high of Wembley, deep down most of us knew we would struggle in this league because we saw how close we'd been to not going up at all, and how the club was being run. Right now we can not just see relegation looming but the prospect of having to rebuild the team from scratch, losing our best player, and an FFP clusterf*ck on top of that.

said weeks ago we'll struggle to match our points total the last time we drank at the top table.
every decision taken from the floorboards up, the second after the play off final whistle , has been piss poor.
therve all been mentioned , and are to numerate to include in one post
i cant help but feel we have a saboteur in our midst.
it seems worse, because it is.
and do us a favour qpr players, keep yer stinking mouths shut before games about what youre gonna do to the opposition, get on with the fkn job at hand you dolly mixtures..amd that dosent mean lumping it forward to the obelix from 2001 a space odessy every 2 mins.

Due to four years of complete toss with the odd memorable game.
The Liverpool comeback, playoff final etc cant make up for watching this rabble for the last few years.
I used to love going to Rangers. Barnsley, Rotherham and Rushden & Diamonds it really didnt matter who was coming to town or going to the odd away game.
But now having the Prem for three of the last four years has killed it for me (or I'm getting older). Hardly ever a game on a Saturday afternoon, Getting spanked most weeks and a season full of turge in the championship (including 89 mins of the final) has left me asking is next season worth it. Could not be arsed yesterday. Why wreck a Sunday with my two daughters to sit and be miserable??? (I did watch some of the game through streaming though).
I dont like going to Rangers anymore. Worse still is my old man who has been watching the R's since the 60's is saying the same thing. Five of us sit together in Mu. Will we renew next season.........who knows!
Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!

The away performances have totally destroyed the season. Getting beat on road every game, every sodding game. Sucked the fun out of going, totally.
Then there's the totally inept Cup performances against two teams we should have beaten in second gear. Totally unacceptable...but at the same time, so inevitable.
I guess we've had three season's on the spin of unenjoyable football. Two relegations and a Championship campaign that generally bored the pants off us and was only success because we threw money at it.
Passion factor zero. To pin point when it all changed from the proud elation of that season under Warnock and winning the Championship ending a torrid 15 years of farce and false dawns, I harp back to that afternoon at MK Dons in the cup. The Faurlin injury, Warnock clearly being hung out by the players he'd been told to go and get... It's never been quite the same Rangers since.

Because we had a massive slice of good fortune to get promoted. We rarely have luck like it, but rather than grasp it with both hands we'll let it slip through our fingers again. To make it worse, it will be through incompetence yet again. To make it even worse, it's so unnecessary, there are some really poor teams in this division this year. And just to cap it off, not only will we be missing the opportunity to benefit from the biggest tv deal in history, we'll likely get a massive fine. I genuinely wonder if I will ever see top level football here again.

We have undoubtedly had one of the biggest shytestorms of a seasons I have ever watched. The constant Redknapp lurch from buying all and sundry, failing to address obvious deficiencies whilst avoiding any atempts to be held to account for his managerial shortcomings or player acquistions/disposals. That whole episode has been a hugely frustrating exercise as never has a QPR manager had so much goodwill and resources (unlike Hughes who just had the resources) and squandered them so badly.
I think we have probably had some of the most naive ownership that we have ever had. A big emphasis here is that they are not bad owners or have any ill intent. They just discovered how much of a cesspit football and particulalry the premiership is for the unwary. Probably their biggest failing has been overpromising and underdelivering. Don't tell me about your next manager that you have in mind or plans for future stadiums I am unlikely to sit or waste money on the latest big name from a top club coming to us to top up their pension plan. Get Warren Farm started and I will believe you .
To be honest I am actually taking a lot of positives at this point from your last sentence.
1. I just dont think that the FFP thing is going to bite as others do. The legal basis for massive destructive action simply isnt there and neither the Football League (not materially wealthy organisation) nor QPR really want to fight about it. We will be penalised, but not doomsday scenario.
2. The amount of expensive/substandard players out of contract in the summer does allow for a complete reorganisation and change of approach.
3. For the first time in ages we have the inkling of a long term plan and delivery process in place to deliver it, led by Sir Les and replacement for Beard.
4. I think that there is a definite change of approach from TF in stepping back and letting Sir Les take on a greater role and not spending on next big name or rushing appointments of managers. He can't stop the sound bites on twitter and there will be some with hindsight views on not appointing tactics tim. But need to remember that the squad, facilities and resources inherited with that job are just incomparable to the shambles that we have presently.
5. Next managerial appointment will be the key one and something that the board will need to have early agreement on, as well as the approach that they will take (i.e. hands off and handle through Sir Les).
Perhaps as a QPR fan I am just an uncurable deluded optimist, probably resonsates as the right description for most of us (SOG excluded obviously). I think that there is a possibility to go forward next year and start to build things right for the future. The Championship is a challenging League, but is much more open than most leagues and its possible for many teams to get promoted. I do suspect it will be a more enjoyable experience for most fans though.

Point 5 is the one that worries me though - how many previously decent managers have come here and failed now?
If we are lucky enough to get someone like Warburton in, we need to actually let them make the changes they need to be successful because something currently stinks.
Redknapp was tired and past it, but Hughes seems to be doing fine in a better run club.

I think Hughes was given carte blanche to do whatever he wanted and had no-one with football background (either in finance or operations management) to hold him back. I think that he also has had better squads, training and coaching set ups to build on with clear long term planning in place. He had none of the latter in place at QPR and that is the key failing which has been with us for a very very long time.

CR was appointed on Sir Les's watch. I wouldn't hold out too much hope on that score.
All the time TF is in charge, nothing will change. He lurches from one calamity to the next. He's the Frank Spencer of football chairmen. If he is as committed to QPR as he says he is he should step down as chairman and employ one with genuine football experience and some success at a similar club to ours. There is no reason why an owner needs to be chairman.
If he is to stay as chairman appointing a DoF was a good idea. But I'm not aware LF had any experience in the role or is particularly qualified to do it. His appointment was a PR exercise to deflect attention and keep the fans quiet.
