And how FIFA can continue to back Qatar when everyone knows that it was the bribes that won it, that the workforce involved in the building works have less rights than those who built the bridge over the River Kwai, and that now there are also suspicions that prominent people and maybe some in the Qatari government are helping to fund IS! just hope Blatter goes on a fact finding mission to northern Iraq in anticipation of a bid for the 2026 World Cup!

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

FIFA only a small fraction of the corruption in football worldwide, they are supposed to set the rules though, so no surprise that nothing will happen whatever the report has revealed.

There is only one way to get rid of the thieves that lead the world game, that is to threarten to boycott both 2018 and 2022, re-run the vote and see if the resulsts are the same, maybe Russia was more legit than suspected, well at least looking through FIFA tainted glasses it was.

An alternative could quickly be organised by one of the 'big' Euro countries or even the USA, stadia, travel and hotels are all there, two country hosts even easier, the sponsers are a big benafactor to the WC, doubt to many would be happy if the main draw is Russia v The Faroe Islands, any WC tournament without the 'big' football countries of Europe and the Americas would have an almost zero audience compared to the usual figures, advertising revenues would almost be worth less.

All it takes is a few of the more renowned countries to start the ball rolling, England sadly not by themselves, Germany Brazil Argentina Spain USA are just a few that if involved would cause a fair degree of panic amonst our world football leaders, a pipe dream as the delegates of FIFA representing those where football money really lays are gutless.

I live in hope..........

wood, I like your optimism and wish there was any way of that happening but the game is corrupt from top to bottom, with the FA heads everywhere with their faces in the trough to a greater or lesser extent. Plus they're all deathly afraid of what'll happen if the other big countries don't support them - they know Blatter will probably find a way of sanctioning them. England's already a pariah in international circles due to the way it's already tried to mildly call out FIFA previously

Shit but local

agree with the above postings, however if you remember the 'Team England' promo video for the world cup 2018/22 , i think we should face a lifetime ban for crimes against humanity.

more distressing than being interned in a harkonnen slave pit attached to a pain amplifier.

Andrew Jennings is a well respected journalist who has spent a considerable amount of his career investigating both the International Olympic Committee and FIFA. His books and television documentaries have exposed the horrific corruption in both Organisations. His more than interesting website is here http://www.transparencyinsport.org

Well when I heard that Garcia had turned down Andrews offer to be interviewed by Garcia, I knew instantly his investigation was never going to expose the whole rotten mess and was only ever going to reveal what Blatter wanted it to.

The answer is to focus on the sponsors and try to put pressure on them, if possible.

However its unlikely that maybe...

Nations could and should boycott 2022, set up an alternative competition for that year, and begin a rival world football organisation.

And where does most "slush" money float around - agents! Who paid the most money out to agents last year ? QPR!!

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

Why wait for 2022? We should boycott 2018. Even if it were completely legit in a country that's irritating nobody, it's the FIFA world cup and we need to start sending FIFA the intended message immediately. As it's Russia with their own issues, not least of all ongoing racism in football, it would not be difficult for fans to act as though it's not important.

Yup totally agree. Boycott 2018 and organise some Home Internationals instead.
