I think I already mentioned on this forum before but I remember seeing a Villarreal club person (don't remember who) say on sky sports that Villarreal and swansea could not agree with how much was being asked and that they were still in negotiations(Villarreal added 2mill to his value after the World Cup), might not be true but it sounds correct, probably why he hasn't come here early. This was maybe just after the USA tour so not sure what's happened since then.
He was good for us but to be honest I don't think I'd be worried if he didn't come back. We have Shelvey and Ki in that position who I think will do well. And we have gylfi who will more than make up for the goals and assists that JDG scored.
I think the best deal would be for him to come to us on loan again so we will still have money for a CDM. Either way I'm not worried | | | |

I'd love to see him back in a swans shirt... and they still are saying "we are still trying to get a deal" they been saying that the whole time. no telling if its going to come through but until it does we should be exploring other options. there are definitely people on our squad who can do his job if push comes to shove. |  |
