It's the same thing just in different words. He's a good player who had one very good season with us. And then one injury ravaged season which ended on a sour note.
And the Laudrup sycophants would do well to remember, his injuries may well have been made worse by his constant selection while carrying those injuries.
very good player yes, one of our greatest, not by a long way.

I really struggle to think about who the competitors are in terms of ability. We have had plenty of loyal servants who did good things for us over a long period, without quite having the outstanding ability that Michu showed - Curt, Robbie, Leon, Garry Monk are all in that category. In terms of my own memories, Latchford and Tosh himself were a cut above merely good servants. Obviously I never saw Ivor play, and perhaps he is at the very top level. Overall though I'd rate a fit Michu as the best I've seen in a Swans shirt. Some of his goals are unforgettable. One season yes, but the best season we ever had. It will be really sad to pass on the chance to get him back in harness on the basis that we prefer to be guided by a nod and a wink.

Robbie was a wonderful servant, but he didn't half miss some in the second and third.

Indeed, as all Michu's games were in the Prem, and he didn't have the chance to scuff a shot wide of an open goal against the Gills on a cold, wet Wednesday night.

Hang on a minute! Great players as some of our local stars in the fifties were they never played for the Swsns in the top division let alone scored 20 odd goals in the PL or scored at a major Wembley final winning us major silverware. None of the 70's/early 80's boys did that either and though Latchford scored a hatful he didn't have the finesse Michu displayed. Robbie I think will on ability and versatility will be our greatest ever player but Michu's right up there too.

Latchford wasn't one of our finest centre forwards?

He scored over twenty goals in a relegated team!! And we were awful that season.

Yes he was. But he still couldn't finish as well as Michu in that first season of his. His two goals at the emirates were something but his second at QPR was so sublime even now it takes my breath away.
Michu - world class
Latchford - top English centre forward

It's there on forum folklore right up there with the ferdy

Can people have multiple Darrans in one day or is it just one Darran that covers a whole bad day?

I don't see why someone can't have a number of individual Darrans across lots of threads. A bit like Darran did yesterday while protecting his mate Dwight.

That sounds fair enough so you could have a Darran on one thread, post a ferdy on another and be perfectly logical on a third.

Could I also come home from work tomorrow and declare 'I have had a Darran of a day'

No. Darrans are restricted strictly to on-forum idiocy of the kind displayed by the man himself across a number of threads yesterday.
