There are a few questions floating around the various websites about Swans directors and their shareholdings
We have 9 directors in total who are
Huw Jenkins Leigh Dineen Huw Cooze (Trust representative) John Van Zweden Steve Penney Don Keefe Gwilym Joseph MBE Martin Morgan Brian Katzen
We also have two associate directors in David Morgan and Will Morris - these are both non executive positions
Of these 9, 3 of them - Gwilyn, Don and Steve own no shares in the club with the share ownership made up as follows
Martin Morgan 225,000 shares Brian Katzen 200,000 shares Swansea City Supporters Trust 200,000 shares Huw Jenkins 125,000 shares Robert Davies 100,000 shares Leigh Dineen 50,000 shares John Van Zweden 50,000 shares
(Many of these shares are not listed to the individual but businesses associated to them but I have used individual names for ease)
Overall share issue is 950,000 shares

Shaky. Forgive my somewhat personal question. Are you a SUCCESSFUL businessman? If you are, then your financial nous works. Right?
That depends on how you define successful.
When I was in the City depending on where I was going I would invariably get picked up by a limo either Sunday afternoon or well before dawn on a Monday morning, taken to Heathrow, London City, etc, and I would be lucky if I saw my bedroom again for a single night before Friday, and sometimes Saturday depending on meeting schedules.
That went on for about 8 years, and although I led a jet set lifestyle with Club class/first class travel, limos galore, the best hotels, restaurants, and so on, I not only found it incredibly exhausting but increasingly I was becoming very concerned about the effect of this lifestyle on my psyche, so I decided to quit.
However, in the latter years I had increasingly been doing projects in North America and that continued when I went freelance, so although I felt much more grounded I was in fact traveling as much as ever now with a far higher proportion of long haul stuff.
At the same time I was making more money trading financial markets than proper work, so I severely wound down my advisory work around '04.
A few years later when I was in my early 40s we had kids for the first time by which time I was effectively semi-retired. I still do a bit of real work for a couple of clients, especially with one guy who is a CEO of listed US company who has basically been my best friend for the last 20 years.
I also do some trading, am in involved in some early stage businesses that take up a few days a month, and am enjoying watching my kids grow up and generally pissing around as much as possible. And given that I now consider success to be the ability to do very little real work, then yes, I feel I am pretty successful.

How impressive
Shame it was watered down by your desire to go into so much detail

Quite a long time ago I realised that the people who have done it never ever shout about it, and the people who shout about it have never ever done it.
A good rule of thumb for separating the wheat from the chaff I find.

I'm hoping it's all true to be honest. Otherwise he'd be so sad and pathetic it would be beyond derision and ridicule. Saying it is bad enough, making it up would be scary.

I almost not sure which would be more sad and pathetic to be honest with you. Still, live and let live. Back to the Swans :-)

Excellent job there coming in to help circle the wagons, as Phil continues to undergo his spectacular and somewhat shocking breakdown.
Top, top flunkey work right there.
Not at all my friend. My contributions to this most brilliantly entertaining of threads have been purely light-hearted and that latest post continued in that vein. Hell, I even pronounced you correct on the whole Goldman/Goldmans controversy.
