We have 9 directors in total who are

Martin Morgan
Brian Katzen
We also have two associate directors in David Morgan and Will Morris - these are both non executive positions
Of these 9, 3 of them - Gwilyn, Don and Steve own no shares in the club with the share ownership made up as follows
Martin Morgan 225,000 shares
Brian Katzen 200,000 shares
Swansea City Supporters Trust 200,000 shares
Huw Jenkins 125,000 shares
Robert Davies 100,000 shares
Leigh Dineen 50,000 shares
John Van Zweden 50,000 shares
(Many of these shares are not listed to the individual but businesses associated to them but I have used individual names for ease)
Overall share issue is 950,000 shares

If they're referring to it informally as a nickname thing, which I agree makes complete sense, it's still far more likely to be Goldman's as opposed to Goldmans.
PS - spellchecker is fine with Monks as it's the plural of Monk. Spellcheckers aren't big on context. |

For example you might type "goldman" with the quotes into Google, which produces 16.5 million hits of which the first page predictably contains various links directly to the Goldman Sachs company.
Contrast that with a search for "goldmans" which produces 365K hits, with the #1 spot going to Shana Goldmans stage school in Brighton, #2 is Goldmans Calne (apparently a home makeover service in the UK), #3 is an Australian enterprise Goldmans Farm Pet Produce, etc, etc.
It is not until page 3 that we see something recognisable in the form of an online article from the powerhouse of financial publishing that is "Binalong Advisory Services, Trading as IO&C" of Australia.
So we have on the one hand LyingLisa and jackanoclue aligned with Binalong, versus me backed up by the New York Times Investment banking section, the Financial Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Tough choice right there!
Even better is that this episode has given everybody an insight into the modus operandi of these jokers; even as their bullshit story continues to unravel they continue to blag, bullshit more, rinse and repeat again; pathological liar to the last is Lisa. [Post edited 27 Jun 2014 15:17]

Think of Garry Monk and the fact that the people who know him well all call him Monks. Sort of a nickname, indicating familiarity - I'm sure that the internet & spell checkers would call him Monk though and put a red line through Monks - the uninitiated may think therefore that the people calling him Monks are the ones who don't know his actual name - perhaps they don't have the internet?
Shaky also has had absolutely no dealings with them in any capacity whatsoever either, so I wouldn't let that stop you.
He obviously didn't come across them in his time working in M&S (oh, sorry, that should be M&A shouldn't it - those pesky letters are so close together on the keyboard). |
In fact I have had various dealings with Goldman over the years, including the sale of one of my client companies to one of their partners' funds.
There is, however, one thing I must clarify in the interests of a clear conscience.
The time I screwed over Merrill's co-head of M&A wasn't actually in New York but instead in a boardroom in Washington DC.
That said I have been to Merrill's plusher meeting suites at the World Financial Center in New York on quite a few occasions, most memorably on a deal I was doing only a few months after the 9/11 attacks, and the view from the top floors was quite something, very, very eerie indeed.
Of course you got a much better view of the craters at ground level, but given the hoards of security men then freshly recruited, no doubt from amongst the top button men in New York, I doubt you would have been able to blag your way to within 50 paces of the golden bull without getting roughed up. Let's just recap the progress so far:
Pages 2-8 I provided analysis showing the glaring weakness in the Trust's current approach of sitting around waiting to be able to buy more shares to take the shareholding to 25%. I then proposed a practical workable real-world framework that would take the Trust to a 25% shareholding in a fair and structured way, while defending my strategy against only the few salient points that arose from the gang of 3 and ignoring the slew of irrelevant nonsense and snide personal abuse that formed the mainstay of their 'contributions'.
Phil then made his aherm judicious ruling and I was absent for more than a weekend, while pages 9-10 were substantially taken up with Spratty revisiting various grievances before Phil then took it upon himself to start taunting me.
The rest as they say is more recent history, but although it was maybe unwise of me to respond to PuerilePhil - given what had gone before - a little payback seemed a good idea at the time. |
