Again, knowing the animosity between the two, chances of suddenly agreeing a large amount of compensation are incredibly low. Tan has absolutely slaughtered Mackay in the media, don't forget. The whole "saving face" issue, well, if he's not done that with regards to something as facile as shirt colours, stretching credibility he'd willingly stump up millions to pay off a manager he despises.
If the Daily Heil claim is true - and again, as much as I can't stand that paper, they've been spot on with regards to us all season - then I don't think anyone can claim anything pother than Tan was right all along about Moody and Mackay. |  |

Right... so Tan stating publicly Mackay was lucky to get the job with us, that he did nothing at Watford, raging about the money spent in summer ( or more accurately, money wasted ) meant they were great buddies, regularly going out on the piss. Gotcha. Mackay brushing off a Tan handshake, publicly caught on tv was a nice little in joke between them, to confuse the fans and media.
Interesting, the media printed plenty of anti-Tan stuff, stemming from the Mackay camp, all of which was taken as gospel. If the club leaked details of the settlement, well, that's karma after all. | |
