Hilly's masterstroke on 18:55 - Apr 26 with 4722 views | SuddenLad | He mesmerised Jamie Cureton in the first half, stepping over the ball, twisting around, turned him inside out twice and then ran away with the ball. Cureton was smiling all over his face afterwards but I bet he was dizzy. Brilliant stuff......................

Hilly's masterstroke on 19:17 - Apr 26 with 4620 views | D_Alien | Hery is the genuine article - a truly talented footballer He's given the Dale a huge lift with his energy, skill, pace and vision But sorry MoonyDale - it's no masterstroke by Hilly He should have been playing much sooner, adding class to the midfield instead of Rose Incidentally, Rose has been outstanding at fullback these last two games

To be honest there should have been a question mark after my thread title....

Hilly's masterstroke on 19:23 - Apr 26 with 4584 views | pnc4eva1 | Hery has acted as a perfect foil for Allen. Lund has also given a new precision to the pssing of the holding midfielder

Hilly's masterstroke on 19:57 - Apr 26 with 4449 views | 49thseason | Cometh the hour cometh the man.. Hugely impressed by Hery, Great feet, balance, plays head up and seems to have the engine needed in midfield, Hope we get him contracted asap for another 2 or 3 seasons
Hilly's masterstroke on 20:27 - Apr 26 with 4338 views | Scunnydale | For two such young/inexperienced players, League One's Bastien Hery and League One's Jamie Allen were incredible. It's not just the skill or the energy or the awareness. It's the matureness to do the simple things well. When I heard the line-up, I did think it didn't offer much muscle or oomph in midfield for a League Two match. Thankfully they're too good to need that! Oh, and having not seen Allen before, it's no wonder he often gets subbed, the amount of effort he puts in is phenomenal! I was knackered applauding him.

Hilly's masterstroke on 21:34 - Apr 26 with 4134 views | Shun | I wouldn't call him mercurial, he's been consistently good every time he's played for us. Which is why I agree with D_Alien and say I would've liked to have seen him a lot more. Hopefully he'll carry on his form into League One!

That was brilliant. Fair play cureton just knew he had been left for dust good and proper. MOM for me too.. Awesome display. I wonder why he has been under wraps all season??

Perhaps, like Lynch, it was a case of getting him up to speed with the Keith Hill way and, by the time he was, others were embedded in the midfield. I remember at the start of the season, we all wondered what Hery's best position was. The man himself said he was a winger, although he doubted his own pace to play there effectively. Could be that Hilly has been working with him to play where, and the way, he is playing now. One thing is for sure, he will not look out of place in League One next season.

Hilly's masterstroke on 14:36 - Apr 27 with 3653 views | boromat | I couldn't chose between the three midfielders for man of the match yesterday they were incredible. The amount of energy there is in there with Lund Allen and Hery is incredible and I can't wait to see them in league 1. Hery got close to the first team early in the season but Allen just pipped him to the starting line up. Hery's very good technically but his positioning and the defensive side to his game wasn't disciplined enough you can definitely see the difference now. His tracking back, closing down and tackling was brilliant. Still on occasions he tried to be too clever in dangerous positions but luckily he got away with it. Brilliant performance. How good was the one touch football between Allen and Hery in the build up to the second goal?

Hilly's masterstroke on 14:44 - Apr 27 with 3632 views | wmgunit | Deserves all the plaudits he has been getting on here. I also would have liked to have seen him get more game time earlier in the season ahead of Rose, JK, Porter etc Just fear the lack of game time will make him look for a move elsewhere this summer. Hope not!
Hilly's masterstroke on 15:04 - Apr 27 with 3580 views | olympicdale | I had only seen Hery once early on in the season but it was clear then he gave the midfield a bit of a zip. It shows a lot for his character that he can be brought in from the cold, into the two most important games of the season, and step up with two MOM performances, with some of the best ball control seen by a Dale player in recent time to boot. Hopefully Sheffield Wednesday will be kicking themselves for letting him go after he rips apart L1 Keep it up Bastien! Très bien

Which is why the theory that Hilly's been keeping him "under wraps while he learns the Rochdale way" all season isn't worth a candle

Same place that Grant Holt came from Sheff Wed reserves.

Hilly's masterstroke on 17:54 - Apr 27 with 3307 views | 1907 | The reason Hery has come into the side is purely down to what he has done in training and how he has developed his game. I was told last night by a source that he just wouldn't track back from midfield and has had to work on this solely to get his chance which he is now doing.
