The real debate is not about who was at fault for the Arsenal goal but whether Shelvey needs to improve in terms of discipline with and without the ball.

Well I said I thought - but if you want to start that
Yes he did and I am far from the only one that thought that.
If people want to pick on points of indiscipline etc. we could pick the whole team apart as I have said before we only have such a skilled squad because each has their flaws.
However on balance Shelvey made a positive contribution to the game that was clearly noticeable from watching it. I did not say he was brilliant or outstanding but he definitely added something that was significantly positive. |  | | |
